I just started playing and I made an Elf mystic. I made it up to level 17 but I find that the mp regen is really slow... Is there someway to accelerate this or do I have to wait like 15 minutes everytime my mp is low? :confused:

Yes. It will be like that forever.
Most nukers have another account for an se. That way they can be recharged. Either start another account or make friends with an se.
Your other options are to make a dark elf wizard or human wizard then change class to necro.
The de and necro both have a skill called b2m. With this skill you can sacrifice hp for mp. Then you have a drain to take back the mp. You can lvl a lot better without an se with little down time. However you will still have downtime without an se.
Just get another account right now and make an se. Smartest thing you can do. I know it sucks to need 2 accounts in order to solo efficiently, but every* class needs 2 accounts to solo. It's lame, but that's the game.
*Summoners don't, but you don't want to play 1 of those.
How many SE's hang out near any starter town? And you shouldn't need another account, I say "shouldn't", but this game does seem to demand it at times.
Larissa, you will have to just find monsters that you can 1 or 2 shot with windstrike. With the new herbs, you should do ok. If you have them, make use of the newbie spiritshots. Later on you can set yourself to walk to regen mana as you play, but at your lvl you don't have this passive skill yet. You will unfortunately have down/sitting time. Later, you will be able to manage mana better.

Or you can just make friends with an SE. Don't start a new account. This is a multi-player game, so what good is playing with yourself?
It has the option to be a multiplayer game. I dont mind grinding solo as long as im vent with my friends. And having a SE oop will level you 2X faster, which will keep you from getting bored of seeing no one ever. And if you ever feel like making it up into the 70s in anything under a year, an SE is pretty much required. I dont have one, and after my clan disbanded, i usually spent most of my gametime lfg sitting in town. A SE is the best prevention of boredom a LE mystic can have.
Even when i was a lowbie leveling up in c1, i really just wanted to get 40+ so i could "get in the game". I didnt really care about much else at that time. Its no fun being left behind by people.

pick either necro, sh or at least sorc, they all have more up time than a light elf does
Dark Elf Caster: High Magic Attack
Elf Caster: Fast Casting Speed
Human Caster: Balance between the two.
yup and generally id say faster cat = more xp
problem is sps has such high cast speed but such crappy mp management even btm 1 has a better effect that clear mind and that crappy regen buff

well, thanks guys. From now on I try to fight weaker mobs and I fight outside (herbs won't drop in dungeons?)
I actually made it up to 22!! :D
oh, and I play on bartz, and the caracters name is Nyamo.
turning wizard I also gain the skill to summon a unicorn that helps with mp, but I find it expansive since he/she doesn't stay very long... being durt poor, cant afford that really!
