i'm relatively new to game and i'm playing a dark elf mystic (Lvl 16). I have notice that in order to seed a mob i will have to be standing very close to a mob to do so. Since i'm a nuker with range attack, seeding a mob seems hard to do so especially for mobs which i could 1 hit kill.
Whenever, i seed a mob my character will run towards the mob, seed and auto melee attack the mob. Is there any ways i could seed mobs from casting distance? Or am i missing something. I don't wanna re-roll another melee character just to farm.

No, you're not missing something. Seeding has a very short range (something like 100); that's just how it is. Use a melee char or a summoner for seeding.
You can avoid the auto-attack, though. Just wait until the seed animation starts, then click on the ground away from the mob. Be aware that the seed use has an invisible re-use timer; if you try to seed before it runs out, you'll just attack instead. :(
The way to seed is to choose passive mobs. The seeding does not trigger aggro. Approach the mob, click to seed it, then, quickly, click the ground so you move off instead of melee attacking.
Move to your normal distance to nuke.. When the mob dies, click the 'harvest' key. You will move to dead mob and get your crops
Once you get settled into the game, you can always roll up a dwarf, or any other kind of melee charector just for seeding use. I say dwarf, because you can seed in conjunction with spoiling for some extra mats while your doing it.
Still any other close ranged melee character would work too but not as effective as a dwarf with spoils and their mats/enchant scrolls/recipes/etc... :D
If you do not know what you are doing (and I'll assume you don't if you need advice on which class to pick for seeding), many classes will work better than dwarves - spoils don't cut that much of a profit unless you know precisely which ones you are going after (and good spoils will often force you into scenarios where you can't seed - i.e. AoE, rift, DI).
Since most classes kill faster than dwarves, pretty much all DD classes and the summoners, as well as some others (BDs, damage-built tanks) wind up being better at manoring than the BH.
Summoners also rise above the crowd of classes with similar killspeed because they can seed without risking interruption.
So far daggers worked best for me as manor slaves, they kill fast, hit and crit hard, and no need to heal if they get Vamp rage buff.
But also orc Monks are great.
