How should I approach people for party?

General Discussion Started Last reply 20 posts
Hi, would just like to know how to create a party and to know who to approach other player! thank you very much
I usually say hi, ask their level and class (where I can't recognise them) and then ask them to party.

Sometimes I just buff them while passing by if I have plenty of mana and then wind up partying them later.
Greetings,

The most polite approach is to decline your own level and class, and then ask for party.

You can also shout it out like : ! Lvl 34 Wizard LFG at GK. PM me.

Walk up to them, target them, and spam /invite over and over so that they can't even type a reply ... and their only option is to accept, or beat the hell out of you .... that almost always, err ... never works....

Hmm, yeah, I think the other guys had better ideas .... :p
If your a Dark Elf female.....

Just go up to the group and do a /socialwaiting, your have an invite in no time.

If you are waiting for that to have a party with me...then you will never get one.
LoL... I'm just saying ;) :o
Hehe Splatter.

No, actually shouting around in towns as Dion or Giran can help you get parties and just asking for lvl range and class is most of the time enough.

Of course, most people nowadays are soloing, boxing or doing clan hunts, so pick up party's are getting very rare.

/block {party spammer}
kill em if they refuse to party with ya.

kill em if they refuse to party with ya.

Lol, i knew you would say that.
How I get a party, kill'em then res them. Tell them it was an accident, then they will party with you :D

Best way is to ask in town or go to a place where there are others soloing then ask around in that hunting spot. Depends on what class you play too. G'luck
Naw just do what Kararill does. Run about Dion buffing everying with KoE until they get bugged. :)

There is also an option in the actions menu (partymatching). But shouting your lvl, class and that you are Looking For Group (LFG) in a town can be the best option.
i find the best parties are not the results of "!cool person, lfg! really!". you go and solo in a place where someone else is. if they dont KS you, or PK you, maybe good to party with. watch for a bit to see if they know what they are doing, maybe they are resting after every mob, or running a bot program (when in doubt, better to say 'hello' to a bot than flag on someone who is not a bot, some people dont like to be flagged on...though, you can make friends that way too). if they seem cool, here comes the most important part. say hi (or some equivalent). when you get a party, dont tell them how to play their class. save that for later. also dont discuss religion or politics. never /socialkiss on the first party. if the party goes well you should end up with someone on your /friendlist, eventually you party pretty exclusively with just those people.

Kingdom,

This sounds like a RL scenario for when someone goes out to a real party, I think I will try it tonight. *tries to remember no social kiss fist time I meet someone*
well. some people may be turned off if you turn them down O.o depends on what friends you want to make :)
rule # 5487 Sating "Hi" to someone in a situation where there is more than one char in an area is useless. But lots still do it. Wanna ask me to party? Say; "Hi (my name here)
wanna party?
The only thing worse is Clans trying to recruit by spamming that "join Clan" button on you. NO, I don't know anything about your Clan, and you aren't creating a favorable impression....Get thee Hence
Ask clans what classes they need, and level that class. Make people believe that you'll spend a lot of time leveling and they'll help you. (Avoid even a hint of bumming, cause people hate game bums.)

Everyone disagrees on what classes are needed, but Overlord is a good choice for smaller clans, cause people can't sub them. It might be bishop, blade dancer, sword singer, warlock, one of the buffers, depends on the clan. The biggest deal with L2 is amount of play time. You have to have a good deal of it, and you have to be able to grind for hours at a time. If you do have a lot of free time and you want to play serious; you can pm clan leaders who often times will invite you to their web sites. This game has some serious gamers in it. You have to be serious or be content messing around as a noob.
Good point Ruple.. Also, Say hello to the same Clan Chars that you see; every time you see them. This gives them an indication that you are on a lot, and working to lvl.
If you don't say hello, they may not even notice you. Especially if you are in Dion ONCE AGAIN buying Dss. :)
Eventually you will start to get more and more invites, as people recognise your Char.
