Newb question about selling Manor fruits

Player Questions Started Last reply 5 posts
I decided to try out the whole manor system thing last night. I bought 2k worth of seeds and would have made close to 3k on the reward at the vendor so everything was looking good. I went back and bought more seeds. The next time I turned in about 3 times as much fruit but still got the same reward as when I turned in the first time.

Is there any difference in reward if you sell all fruit at once or if you break it up? Is the reason that I only got 1 item for 3 times the turn in a result of the reward being type 2 and bad luck? I've read the guide to the manor system and did some searches but haven't had any luck on getting more in depth info on how the reward system works when you sell your fruit back.

Thanks in advance for any responses.
When selling fruits back to the manor, always keep two things in mind.

1)Buyback price. ALWAYS check this. Usually, buybacks don't change much, unless the castle changes owners. But occasionally lords will change the buyback price on a reset for market or other reasons.

2)'Base' Material Value. When turning in fruit, any 'excess' value is lost if it is not enough to get you another material. If you are turning in a high value material using a lower value fruits, there is a greater chance to 'miss' a buyback point for that next material. Usually this will be a Type 2 reward for a Coda or Cobol fruit. (Level 10-46 seeds)

If your not sure what a material's 'base value' is, take one to a NPC and see how much they will buy it for. The material base value will be twice that. (Not exactly, but close enough to make almost no difference.)

Keep in mind that the number of materials you receive will roughly be:

(Buyback * #of Fruits) / (Base Value of Reward Type)

Thus, if you need 31 Blue Coda to receive a single crafted leather, handing in 40 will NOT get you any more. The 'extra' 9 fruits will be lost to you. To get a second CL, you would need to hand in 62 fruits.
Awesome info. I suspected it worked something like that but didn't think about checking the value of the fruit in relation to the reward.

Thanks a bunch. I think this is about the most helpful/newb tolerant board I've ever been to :)
You also want to check which town gives you the biggest "buy back" price. Sell your fruits to the town who offers the highest buy back in order to get more materials.
