Death Penalty?

My brother told me a strange thing.

I've got no idea if it's well-founded, or if it's just a silly rumor.

But, I heard from him, who heard it from someone, that you can't drop your gear anymore. Regardless of your PK count.

He said that all you got, was the lame old death penalty.

Any idea if this is true?

(PS. Last post on this forum tonight. I promise. :D)

You can't drop your gear regardless your PK count yes.

BUT, if you got karma AND more then 5 PK counts, then yes you can drop your gear.

You don't drop if your white, but you do drop if your red.

You don't drop if your white, but you do drop if your red.

This is the accurate explanation.

Only a chaotic character 'red person) can drop gear upon death. All others don't.

Does anyone have a link to a guide that explains the Death Penalty in detail? The ONLY penalty I can tell is loss of exp. I'd appreciate any clarification you can give.
