Hello, its my first post here and i'm a huge SK fun..I really need some advice deciding what armor, weapon with sa and dyes shall i chose in a-grade..
I realise there are different playstyles so i kinda want to know what possibilities are there and what choices for my SK..
Any advices or ideas would be most welcomed with the proper arguments to support it..
Ty in advance.. :)
My SK is no frills right now. Majestic Heavy, DLE Critical Damage. +4 STR -4 CON tat. I keep OE Doom Heavy and a second DLE/Health in the WH for multiplayer interaction.
Tallum Heavy will do if you can't afford Maj. PVE, you can also use BW Heavy until your mid 60s, depending on where you hunt.
I use Infernal Master/Focus and Tallum Heavy for PvE.
For "Multiplayer Interaction" I use Tallum Heavy, Tallum Blade/Haste and Elemental Sword/MP with a Doom shield.
I also use +3 DEX/-3CON tats to go with the set bonus from the Tallum, giving me +2 STR, +3 DEX, -5 CON. I get stunned a bit more often, but it's negligible. I usually have people dead before it makes any changes.
I also agree that NM is not a good PvE set. DC Heavy would be a better set if you get groups with a good healer, although the bonus is not so great.
My suggestion: Tallum or Majestic. I personally prefer the Tallum for the bonus to STR and Atk Spd. Majestic has resist stun which can help against a lot of stun mobs.
For my SK I chose to go Maj Heavy for the Stun resist and extra damage. The Pdef is better for a tank than the Tallum/DC sets but still gives a boost to your damage output. You will still get stunned but slightly less often and the damage from stun is almost cut in half. Weapon I went DLE w/crit damage. Am also working on a Sword of Miracles w/acumen for pvp against certain classes. My tats I'm leaving as is and have been extremely effective in doing so. I've always been a firm believer that the stats on an SK are extremely well balanced. You could tat yourself out for purely pvp or pve but not touching them at all leaves you very flexible.
Really any set/weapon/tat combination can work for an SK if thought is put into it. By now you know what kind of SK you are. Adapt your gear around you.
