What is going on with all the bots? I really want to enjoy this game but there are dwarf-bots running around everywhere! I have quests to do in the Swamplands and there are 30-40 bots out there! The Dark Elf city is crawling with them also!
I have contacted the game staff in game 3 TIMES but I still see the same dwarves and their clone army, all with names like "Lkjjjdsddd" and "Lkhdsdsdasd111".
Then the GM tells me he needs specific names!
Um they are RANDOM LETTERS!
I told him to logon and come into the DE city. He cant miss them. No response from THAT though.
So, what i need to know is simple. Is this crazy bot behavior ever going to stop or am I just wasting my time trying to enjoy this game. Everyone I know that plays mmo's told me to stay away from this game because of this.
Is there a spike in bot population because there is a free trial? Because there is an in-game event? Or is this just normal?
Well,boting is the worst thing in LineageII...Botting is actually a problem in many MMO's...I don't want to mention Game Name's,but botting is a general problem..I have to say that the number of bots has been reduced,BUT still there are too many..As for me,they don't bother me anymore..Just try to avoid them...Don't let them disturbing you and not enjoying the game...

they may appear bad, but they arent really. they only harm themselves. by breaking the user agreement, bots put themselves in harms way. they know they can be caught in a moment, so just make your report tothe GM with the character that you think is botting, name the server (they arent really in game ;) ) and the reasons why you think they are bots.
without that, the GM's can do nothing. they have no basis to begin an investigation, and without a name in your report, they dont know who youre referencing.
sometimes it takes YEARS to obtain unquestionable proof of botting, sometimes days. one thing is for sure, HGMSpam herself has assured us they are getting more efficient at banning every week.
to get back to why they arent all bad, they do hunt 24-7, and can be one helluva help when youre in need of that extra 4000 animal bones for your A grade craft and your clan can only put up 300.

I know it's kinda frustrating... But as ppl said before... It's part of the game :( The only way for you to do your quest is to KS the bots. At least, that's what I did in the past...
Other hint that might work... Attack them with your Stun skill and they most likely logoff...
