God my highest is lvl 45 and it takes me almost a freaken week in order to get her to that point and still it's taking me forever to get her going. And I'm ususally one who lvls up once or twice in a single day..
At 60+ it takes me about 3 1/2 hours to get around 11-12%, and if im fighting x4 hp mobs. So id say your doing well. When it comes to leveling for me im lazy as hell. I fight maybe 10% on my lvl 4x and get bored out of my mind and see its only been like 30 minutes...

It took me about 6 hours to go from 60 to 61. I duo'd with an SE. Like someone said it already, it's all about the hunting grounds.
With full buffs, top D equipment (mith dagger only to +7) in Heine, the assassin made ~ 21% xp every buff round. So it took me about an hour to go from 39 - 40.
However this is the really cool part about passing Grade expertise and mob selection, especially going from D to C gtrade. Now an AW, with full buffs, PL Set, +10 DS/focus and tats, I make about 36% xp every buff round on AI. I can't play that much this weekend, but I hope to be in B grade by next Tuesday.
The speed at which you lvl is not all that important IMO.
It's more about how much money your making and being about to make enough to support your toon. Make sure your looking ahead that you will have enough to get your next grade of armor and weapon. If you have all that covered than blast away as fast as you can. Otherwise focus on quests and making that all important money.
At 77 it's quite important to get good XP, specially as you want to hit 78 as fast as possible to get the most powerfully skills each class get. When you get that there not much more to grind for and you can just rack up cash if possible.
