I was wondering what is the best setup for my BD..
He is my first and main char so it's kinda important to have the best setup i can..
I'm currently 65lvl equipped with maj heavy set, kesh*kesh +5,maj jewels (which for the time being are sealed but i will get them unsealed as soon as i choose the right cabal to get the reward i am w8ing for weeks :/) and i also have a carnage bow which i bought one week ago after hours and hours of seeding on bot groups :P
The thing is i kinda like alot the stun bonus i receive so i wont prolly change to tallum heavy set but im a bit confused about which dyes i should use..
I am more interested about pvp since i am an assist char after all and my main role is dancing not tanking or be a primary dd.
I know that no matter what i do i won't be able to win a mage in an open 1v1 pvp(even though i am told that i ll get more interrupts with tallum) so i ll stick to maj which helps me avoid getting stunned from archers but i am also thinking of raising dex abit eg -4str +4dex for i am not that willing to cut down on my con(its 30 anw :/)
BD may not be a pure pvp class but he surely will hurt other fighters alot before goin down and thats what i am aiming for..
Thx for ur time any opinion is welcome :)
Different setups are possible depending on your favorit play stile, all I can give are some examples but I would say the meanings about this are as many as players play BDs :)
a.) Tallum Heavy with Dual Keshs +4: more attack speed.
b.) Majestic Heavy with any A Duals +4, good combine between damge, stun resistance and speed or accurancy depending on the duals you choose.
c.) Nightmare Heavy with any A Duals +4, bonus against sleep and hold and with +2 CON a bit bonus on HP and Stun resistance including the benefits from the duals.
I would prefer a or b setup!
Another option is not to go for A Duals but to go for high overenchated Focus Duals B.
The last hint I can give is that you'll need a carnage bow for pvp, so a Health Dual isn't a good choice.
Dyes are several ways open to an BD:
-4 CON +4 STR to make more damge (I would advise Majestic or Nightmare with that tatoo).
and/or -4 CON +4 DEX will suprise your enemy with a good runspeed including archers :)
I went MJ heavy on my BD sub and am quite happy with it. I do miss the weight bonus of tallum, but stun resist is important for DE classes. In addition, I was annoyed how expensive the haste bonus of tallum plus dual keshes added up to be. Im in MJ with 9+ sls*tsu. Funny enough, about the time I hit AG and chose this set up, a large number of other BDs on my server did the same thing. There's now very few in tallum.
Tats on a bd are hard. First off at level 65, if you compete in seiges, you're gonna die, purely by a factor of your level. The strong point of DEs is their STR and boosting this on your BD will have more payback than any other stat you boost. I have choosen to set up my BD to be good for pve until around 70, where Ill mess around with her tats and make her more suitable for pvp. I have her 4+dex/4-con, and 2+str/2-con. The MJ adds another 2+str/2-con iirc. Yes, thats seriously minus'd con and yes, my ability to carry BSS is pretty crummy. But at least in my clan, our pvps are all against 7x and even 75+ toons, so I'm not gonna survive anyhow. I'm set up to level as fast as possible, then hit 7x and redo my set up.
I went with the Tallum Heavy and Dual Kesh's for the double attack speed bonus. It works well for me in pve and well.....in pvp we tend to die anyway, so I didn't worry about that to much. I wanted to be able to do as much damage as fast as possible in pve to aid in leveling and it seemed to work, in pvp my damage output is quite good as well up the point where I get burned down to my boots by some nuker. I also went +4 dex and str which gives me a really low con, so I get to laugh when I'm in a party that doesn't have a tank and they ask me if I can.....lol
