Hi i just startet with this game today and im thinking about starting an healer of some sort which one whould be best and do i stand any chance of getting grps on this server? because as i understand they dont solo to good in this game?
Well there is elven elder ( ee ) and bishop the difrent you can go libary and go races. classes skills and see waht the difrent is and see waht you like most..
Well I'm a DE healer, and frankly I think they rock. When no one wants a friendly healer I just strap on some battle gear and go kick some mob buts! I mean I can't solo as well as other classes but I can do a pretty good job.
An EE (Elven Elder) or Bishop are really your only two "healer" classes capable of soloing past 40 without at least two sets of gear...which your first character probably won't have.
An SE (Shillen Elder) does no significant damage and doesn't get an upgraded version of the Undead Nuke that EE's and Bishops get. That upgraded version will hold you in good stead...leveling is slow since you are less mana efficient than a mage for the most part and the nuke is only good for undead mobs...but there are areas available from 20 to 70+ if you feel inclined to solo.
Clans will want both Bishops and EE's for end game content...but finding a group is sometimes rough since you don't have Emp or VR like a SE.
You CAN still make a "battle prophet" which is to say a prophet that solos using heavy armor and a weapon. C5 almost killed this aspect of the class unfortunately by giving you huge cast speed and accuracy penalties for using dual swords, bows, or polearms.
In lieu of those I sold my tall*dle and bought a dagger...but your shot consumption will be higher that way...the issue here is that my "battle prophet" is on a well established server and I can afford to have two sets of A grade armor for her, and I can afford to get heavily OE'd weapons which is the only way her dmg really pans out. With self buffs and the right tatoos and gear a prophet is a lot of fun to play solo even high lvl...but it's probably not a feasible plan for a new player because of the expense of gear....no one will want a buffer in heavy or in light armor (except the random Warcryer or Overlord) because of cast speed and total mana pool...and melee soloing in robes will be an effort in futility.
