Dagger Skills- Please Help!!!!!

So, I just recently got my DE to lvl 40 and went AW. I'm not new to L2, but I am new to the "C5" dagger.

I'm wondering, When I get a Fatal Srike from Deadly Blow.. what does that do exactly? The damage seems about the same as the normal skill so I dont really get it.

The fatal has a chance to instant kill i believe...

The lethal strike takes the mobs remaining hp down by half, and if its in pvp it will ignore CP and take the players hp down to 1

it is the same. low levels of fatal strike at least. the difference is that mortal blow will become useless over time because you can no longer level it.
