Save your young new players ?

I just visited Elven area and Elven village, I came across about 25 automated characters. Then I went to dark elven area, and it's crowded too, even more : there was a full line of automated waiting for the Sentry to hit them, the poor sentry was surrounded, it was Roselyn, East gate of DE village I think. I also met a couple of new players on the way.
Now I'm on Talking island and I saw a dozen of bots in town too.
Isn't it extremely sad to let new players meet 50 automated characters before they meet another real player?
I know, we're meant to kindly report bots, but I already spent my 4 or 5 daily petitions on them today.
I'm not even expecting an answer, I know the topic can be flamed and/or locked. I just wanted to say that it was sad to let new players see that as the first thing to see when they join...
what would the disadvantages be to make it so that if you die to a guard not during a seige you dont lose xp.

or a guard wont attack unless you attack another character.

or make it so you get karma for attacking a guard.

you might not be able to stop them, they dont have to make it so **** easy for them though.

No more delevelling for real players.
Guards don't attack unless player is red?

Standing outside of a town, shouting "Free PvP points for everyone!" and flagging on everything that moves (and isn't a mob) works for me. YMMV.

Alternatively, get your clannies to help you out.
Im not aware of many people at least on erica that do this but even if there are wouldnt the advantages outweigh being able to lose levels to guards.

If you really needed to do this couldnt you just have the mobs do it for you like the bots will end up doing. The thing is, it will take more time to do it, not stop it.

Also isnt there a penalty now for dying? If so does it apply to dying to a guard?
10 Minutes time for a GM every day for a random look at a random Server at a random Starter City and the problem is history.
And it also would be less work and manpower than proofing all the petitions.
They have a process that they go through to ban our 3rd party friends.

It's not the fastest way to do it, but its pretty good at keeping those who aren't supposed to be banned from being banned.

It takes about a week to get those who are botting to get banned. Something like that

Any "new young players" who choose to quit cause 10 toons with names like "hdghdgf" are committing suicide in a starter area are no great loss.

Stop whining about bots and play the game.

New players LEARN they are supposed to hate the very site of what they think is a bot from experienced players who whine about it ENDLESSLY like babies. Most new players couldn't point out a bot on a bet.

The starter area bots are extremely carebear and don't deserve mention or notice. Kill them, ignore them, grief them, but quit telling new players what a horror they are!
well you could always roll up an alt clan just to hunt bots.

consider it a good deed every now and then to pk a bot or two
not worth the karma to pk bots in starter towns
