Who checks your "In The Press" section NCNA?

The only reason that I ask is that you have a link to About.com (http://internetgames.about.com/od/mmorpgs/a/l2chron5.htm) with a review of Chronicle 5.

Go check out the sponsored links that appear right in the middle of the article. Powerlevelling and purchasing of adena are OK now?

Whilst no-one is naive enough to believe this sort of thing never happens, putting links to sites that display these adverts hardly sends the right message to new players.

Maybe you should be more careful about what you link to.
Maybe it's been too long of a holiday week but I'm not seeing it... I even searched for "Sponsored"...
Yeah I'm not seeing it either.
Left hand side of the page... I can see it and I screenied it... now if only I knew where the pic went....
I see it now. It shows up in IE but not FireFox.
Vindication!
Weird. I get a box with three links in and a section at the bottom of the page. I'd post a screeny but I don't really want to spread the word for these services.

I do get a different version of the page if I use a different ISP. The box is gone but there is a link in the bottom section. Different ISP caches I guess.

Maybe I'll screenshot them and offer them to Mystril via a PM.

Edit: I just hit a CTRL+Refresh on the one that wasn't showing the box and up it popped so I guess that was cached by my ISP. Looks like they've slipped the adverts in after the original article was linked on the L2 homepage.

Vindication!

Bah. I believe everything you tell me anyway.
About.com is "just" using Google's page ads. They basically display roughly the same stuff which you'd get to see as "sponsored links" when you search for "lineage 2" at Google. Here (http://www.vernideas.de/l2akjosch/About_com-L2.png) is an example (strategically put red boxes by me).

It doesn't really depend on your ISP, or your browser (unless it just blocks googlesyndication.com ...), or anything else. It's random.

I'd say that you are correct about the section at the bottom of the page as those links change on page refresh. However, there is a box in the centre of the article that seems to have constant links to the same sites.

Either way, I don't think they should appear on a page linked from the official site.

Yes!!! My strategery and feminine wiles have worked!!! OMW to world domination!
Sent a Email to mistryl about this a while ago; told her about the ads and that they should Email the owner of About.com and tell him not to use that kind of ads, if he whants to be linked from te webpage.

This is what i got as amswer..

Sigh, the Google ads sometimes display adena sales for some reason. Thanks for the message!

So they know about it, just hadent had time i guess.
Google ads pull from keywords on actual page i believe

it's kinda hard to filter those, though they can place filters through,

just email the owner of the website with the names of the sites that went through, or yeah have mistryl email him with the name of the sites so they can just filter those sites.

Woo hoo Go Google ads

It shows up on mine.

And to the OP... you should know about adsense by now. It's hard to browse the internet without seeing them EVERYWHERE.
Heck, try getting a lineage 2 email in Gmail and you get adena ads too.
