Depends on your equipment and access to buffs (empower). Try Hunters Village and the bugbears. They give about 2700 xp. The mushrooms in the Sea of Spores and the Manashen Gargoyles in Ivory Tower pit give about the same.
One shotting is nice, but there is more to fast leveling than that. I would pick Alligator Island. Lots of mobs, all social. You can probably 2-shot the Croc Lads for about 5200 xp each. The Dallian Lads are a bit more XP, but they are lethal with their daggers. Are you up for the challenge?

Why are you all suggesting Alli island? I tried it there at 40 and needed 3-4 shots for crocs.
IT pit was a blast, 2 shot everything, and with emp 1 shot some of them. (2k-3k/mob)
It's down to the equippement you got. If you have +10000 homu ofcourse you can one shot everything. But when the "casual" gamer hunts he's got a +3 max. You wont 1 shot much with that.

yup, I went to ali island and I had to 4 shot a croc to get 5300 exp, that's less than 1400 exp for every 30 mana I spend...
IT tower is about the same thing....I had two shot something that only gives me less than 3k exp...that's less than 1500 exp for my 30 mana...
should I go back to the ogres on the field of silence ? since I can one shot them for 1779 exp. that's 1779 exp for every 30 mana I spend.... I DID NOT have have mana down time with that..
Well dont always stare at the xp/mana thing. At IT you can do a quest from Hardins academy that can give you a EWC for each 200 quest items (Rewards also include EWD, SoE's and C-sps....). Under the Shadow of the Ivory Tower (http://lineage2.stratics.com/content/library/quests/index.php?id=15014) And the items drop on almost every kill. So I'd still consider IT. And you get a load of spell books too, some of which can be sold at 100k each (on Gustin).
For L40-44 I always hunted in IT pit because of the Nebula Orb Quest and made additionaly the Karul Bugbears, Grandis and Fettered Souls for diversion with the hunter quest.
Fastest leveling is not allways the best if you run out of money to buy better weapons. Earlear or later you will stuck with a crappy equipment and have to loose much more time.

You're right: setup and buffs is how I 2 shot in AI.
