Dilema....

I am almost sure there was already a post to this...but made a search and found nothing....

Remind me again....
WHY the implementation of "80% weight...bla bla..."????
I mean I can't do a friggin thing in game....everytime the same idiotic reply "Your inventory is bla bla...."

Ok so I am a spoiler...I CARRY a LOT OF STUFF.....
I can't take rewards for a quest and what it's even worse...I can't even change my seals etc etc....

My warehouse is already full and I have a lot of items in my inventory (including quest items....)

WHY raising the number of available quests at one time if you always get annoyed by that stupid message???

I wonder if this implementation is a preventive ANTI-what??

Do post with knowledge not suspicions....
Just what kind of stuff are you taking along thats keeping you that full all the time?
I don't know.

But yes, more quests = more stuff to carry around = less for room for all the other stuff i get to carry around = annoying.

However, I do believe you can increase the number of items you can carry with Proof of Fish thingies, at the Fisherman Guild Guy but I've not checked into this yet.

~M~
Its not 80% weight, its 80% of your inventory slots, check out the number at the top right of your inventory, it should say (79/100) and below.

Remember that quest items counts too, so if you have alot of old quests they will fill you up.
My dwarf never had much of a problem, niether does out scavvy. Isnt there a quest or something that adds to inv slots and wieght?
Start a clan, use the clan WH too. Stop being such a pack rat :D
Stuff: manticore boot lining, brigandine shield and helm parts, salamander skin parts, elven mithril gloves parts, theca boot lining, full plate parts, divine parts, Fishing shots, Fishing rod, Fishing lure (for night and day), SS, seals (3 types of them....), AA, a blunt and a shield ( i carry a pole but for just in case....), Beast SS, food for wolves, wolf collar, wolf armor and fangs....

I usually don't keep junk stuff ...and to same some the trouble of what is in my wh...there are only basic mats, items and important recipes....
Ever think of making a mule character?
ok, here is your problem. You have too much worthless junk. You need to keep notes of what is worth keeping and what needs to be sold to NPC vendors. i.e. salamander skin stuff. no wears that stuff anymore. Sell the parts or make the stuff then crystallize it.
@LordChaos666

Perhaps my formulation was badBUT as you can see I am complaining about the great no. of items not of their weight...so I know exactly what it's all about....

@Allwine
I play spoiler as my main...so you can figure I am already a member of a clan so your idea fails....
P.S....don't call me a rat :)

@Mariah
Yeah...the fishing stuff skill you aquire is giving you like 3-5 extra slots (at first level...not exactlty sure) which is like...almost nothing... and it's pretty hard to aquire (lots of fishing proofs involved....)
@Allwine
yeah i got like ONE salamander boot lining missing to make the boots....and you suggest me to sell it in NPC shop?
Besides...salamander skin set is not that junk as you think for a lot of people...have you checked it's prices lately?

@Splatter
yeah that souds like the general solution...a mule char....
But is that an explanation of WHY they can't change that freaky implementation?
I mean...IS IT NORMAL that even when you are not exactly FULL of items to start wasting time transfering stuff from here to there....instead of NCsoft trying to make this as PLAYABLE as possible?

Is not as I am accusing anyone of this but there was no stupid rule like this in previous chronicles....
(furthermore...no complaints....)
I think they look at it as.....

They take one quest and look at the amount of need slots to do and complete the quest. And this is the buffer slot so it won't let you do a quest and not get any items.

I know a while back they had issues where a person would do a quest, turn in the stuff and get nothing back in return. Because they were full....

So Nc made this change so you had to be under 80% to turn in a quest.
Several months ago I created a clan just for my alts. After they're done hunting, they put all (useful) drops into the clan warehouse. It's also where I keep any consumables that any of my characters could use (shots, pots, scrolls, etc). All full items, such as weapons, armor and jewelry, regardless of grade, go into the clan leader's own warehouse.

Now, anytime I need to find something for crafting, twinking out a character, or whatever, there are only two places I ever have to look. It's either in the clan leader's WH, or in the clan WH. I have yet to come close to filling up those 300 spots.

My main only keeps stuff in his WH that only he can use, such as gear for my subclass, extra shots, and quest items (TOI blueprints, Reagents, etc). All other items he gets from hunts go into the alt clan's WH. None of my alts, except for the clan leader, have any items in their WH.

It's a system that is easy to set up, and accounts for storage of lots of items between many characters, with an easy-to-use find and retrieval system.
I have to call you on that....

A person can't make a clan and then invite the alts of the same account into it.
Yeah, I have this problem all the time.

Especially since I have - strenght and when I party, I usually party with bounty hunters. So all sort so stuff ends up in my inventory.
@Splatter
Was it not more suitable a messange like "Cannot complete operation" or smt like that when you can't get the items due to a FULL inventory (with the emphasis on FULL)

EDIT: Actually TECHnically speaking you can invite in your own clan other alts.... if you delegate the "invite" privilege to another clanie... BUT this was not the subject....
I do not appreciate the alternative of making dummies chars just for a EASILY FIXABLE problem ...(ahm...not to mention that your account has a limited char no.)

I created a clan just for my alts.

You are not paying attention to what I wrote earlier....
Lol I am not even a spoiler and I have gotten this :p. I got really annoyed since I couldn't do the pollen event :(. I had to go all the way to WH in Giran and come back lol.

I have to call you on that....

Just get a trusted friend to give clan rights too, solves that problem. If his main is allready in a clan, then he can make an alt to make a new clan. Find a good hiding spot to trade stuff if you dont trust anyone. Or, just get another account :D

Now your being picky lol :D .... Next time just substitute the word FULL with Frank
Oh ...almost forgot about this....

What do you do when an event like FALL HARVEST (or by any mean any other event that implies EVENT ITEMS) comes...?

As a later reply to my inventory....I still have some pollen left and some seeds....

I have to call you on that....

Yes, you're right. But it's easy to get around. Invite a non-alt into the clan, give them invite privelages, and then invite your other alts. When all the alts are in the clan, boot the other person out.
@_Meate_

Aff...
As stated earlier..... you are not paying attention to what it has been ALREADY WROTE...(twice...)

Anyway I don't really like where this is going....
Does it has to be a poll to get some straight answers?

I mean... is someone out there happy with this glitch??
Is someone happy to make alts (the more the merrier) just for deposits?

Do you actually see a solution in this?

Has it been explained WHY and whether is HELPFUL this implementation?
the way i see it, you keep shooting down any ideas given to you. you can't POSSIBLY need every item to fill up both your WH and inventory Just sell some stuff!
I agree that you need to clean out some of your inventory clutter but it's silly, especially now that you can have more quests, that quest items count towards your inventory.
Go sell some stuff....
Ingenious.... mostly when you are missing just few items to craft a D or C set item which is worth a lot more than the parts themseves....
Better not... start a mage... leave the spoiler (he kinda gathers too much no?)
Quests are also an income in the game (since when i last checked...it was an RPG)...

I don't mean to be a "meanie" but all this kind of answers are not exactly what I was having in mind.....

Besides I did not implied I carry around protection ring gemstones or other junk like that.....

A brigandine helmet is worth even more than a FP helmet nowadays....

Yes, I can read, and I have a sufficient attention span. I was simply explaining what I did to help me out with the same situation that you're in. If you don't want to do it, it's your game. NCSoft isn't likely to change the current implementation in the near future, so you can either adapt, or continue to be frustrated. My alts are all alts that I play. They were not made just "for deposits".
I know how you feel, i always seem to run out of space, got 24 items in quest inv atm, and non i can really delete. Add to that armour, jewels, shots, weapons, money, aa, seals, soe etc.. Before long 0 space left on char, and inv full of useful junk...

I don't mean to be a "meanie" but all this kind of answers are not exactly what I was having in mind.....

Well, since NCSoft hasn't yet given me rights to modify the code, the best I can do is give suggestions for you to modify your behavior. Sorry, that's the best I can do.
believe me, i know what it's like having a full warehouse. but seriously, if it's that bad, just suck it up and sell. you can't craft everything you want to.
man alive.....that has to be like 150 itmes that are just sitting there....

Hey I am sorry if you felt offended in some way...
I guess I am just ****** off on lot of stuff going on ingame (mostly by the lack of care) and some times I go sideways.... :D
Our BH has this problem too; every day at the end of the day every single material/recipe/spellbook/etc is removed and warehoused, but just going out and hunting can give 30 or more different items between drops and spoils, and the BH often goes over 80%. I go over 80% unless we set loot to Finders Keepers and have the BH get it all.

This was just a really poor fix to a problem of using quests when your inventory was so full that it couldn't accept the new items. Rather than be intelligent and have each turnin check for the spots needed (e.g. if progressing/finishing the quest should generate 2 items, check for 2 spots) they did a blanket check for all quests, even stupid things like signing up for dusk/dawn.

That is exactly what I am talking about....
Stuff like singning in the 7s or changing seals in AA are not even considered QUESTS.....
So doesn't this "poor fix" strikes you all as being something terribly WRONG?
The deal is this. The game is meant to played with friends, clanmates. My clan divides things up, as crafter I hang on to all base materials for the clan in my WH. The clan's BH hangs on to all key materials, blades etc, and everything else then goes in the CWH. This gives us 3 WH's to work with right off the bat. In addition the BH has all the key mats in the CWH of his alt and the recipes in his alt's personal WH. Then we assign people for quest item storage like TOI quest pages and GC quest items. There is no way to hang onto everything yourself and go it alone. If you want to go it alone you are going to have to use a lot of alts.

Teamwork like this is the way the game was intended to be played.
I agree pro programing is at fault, will it be changed probably not best to find a good work around that fits your situation well. Focus on a solution that fits you.
So...I figure when one can't get a team play just right... one can quit the game just the same...?
There are a lot of NON trusty players out there and even the ones I trust are complaining about the same thing I am....
(just cuz they are not a whole bunch of them....)
If there are people on your server that you trust are you in a clan with them? And if not, why not?
Im using 4 of the 7 toon slots as mule characters currently. My main is a scav so i did this because of their item accumulation abilities.

One guy keeps item parts, my artisan keeps mats, Another guy keeps spellbooks, and the last guy just has crap.

After this event they are all popping at the seams because of the amazing amount of enchant scrolls i was blessed with :)
