Is it kinda weird that im not much into the leveling aspect of the game? I prefer gambling type stuff alot more. OE is one of my favorites. I have blown up so many weapons and armors. Sometime I go to the track and put down a few million on some races. Sometimes I make out pretty good when I do that to. Anyone else have a similar play style? Give me ideas for other ways to gamble my adena. :cool: I have more fun playing that way. Nothing more exciting then making a +8 or higher weapon and hoping someone comes along to buy it soon!
Yes, there is something wrong with you. First, accept the fact you have a problem. Next, call gamblers anonymus. If you still have the urge, I have something you can gamble on. Gimme all your adena and see if I give it back to you. I will calulate the odds of you winning and get back to you.

i tend to try and combine the two. i do the warehouse medals quest and never turn in less than 100 medals for a chance at bingo.

lol.well truth is..soon as I got to my first million I started gambling. Right now I have roughly 60 mil combined in adena and assets...Do I have good luck?

You only have a problem if you start doing this with real life money.
It's ok for your character to be homeless, and he doesn't have to eat and pay bills. You on the other hand do.
If you enjoy this then go for it. Just be aware that you can also hit rock bottom and be prepared to dig yourself out if you do.
But you have as much a problem as I do in that I really like the grinding, the rhythm of the thing, pushing it one more buff round until I have to stop.
And now that I have a melee sub, I have the joy of practically non stop lvling. I hope my wrist doesn't learn to hate me.

lol.You see im the exact opposite in real life. My wife asked me if she can take $20 to go to the casino. Well I ended up giving in but I wasnt happy about that $20 lost. :mad:

I buy all the stuff cheap, I buy all the stuff shiny, I just buy..
I probably have less then 7m in money now, but the stuff i have, I think it's altleast 700m worth, most likely 800m or so.
And whne there are stuff that I REALY WANT TO BUY I dont have the money on me.. Then I got to wild shopping sprees therough Giran, but it doesnt gives me the satisfaction :(
YES! Sometimes I do that to! I go buy stuff because its cool. I probably wont even use it. I just want to buy stuff..Gamble and buy stuff! When I level I get kind of discouraged because the % bar is a long way from the top again. I think Im going to just keep making adena. One day ill own Aden. I wont ever be able to beat any of you in pvp. But I can pay people to beat you for me! :D
Well OEing and selling is more like running a casino than playing at one.
You can calculate the approximate cash input of a weapon as:
cash input = cost/chance
where cost is the cost of all scrolls and the weapon itself, and chance is the odds of it reaching the level you want to get it to. To get more accurate, it's a little lower because you need to take into account that blowing it up earlier uses less scrolls, and you get crystals back (you can do this math easily in Excel but it's a little too much to type here) This is how much, on average, it costs to make the item.
But the market value is more than this, because people will pay more for something that is premade. So your return on investment is always positive.
Hey Ledaa, I'm in the same boat as you. I got a few hundred mil worth of gear a couple hundred mil worth of mats, and like 40,783 adena to my name. But, I do have 17 complete armor sets, including one a and four b grade, i have four a grade weaps with sa's, two or three b grade weps with sa's, four +6 or higher homunk equivalentys, +8 top c, and we won't get into how many +6 tarbar equivalents I have. Oh yeah, and no less than two complete top grade jewel sets(d,c,b, and a grade), some of them over enchanted. I have my warehouse at 132/132 items, mostly mats, and my clan warehouse at 200/200, again, mostly mats, as well as a sell dorf with 100/100 warehouse with all recipes, mostly b and a grade.
SO, I will join you in having a problem.
P.S. I am also a member of Dieaholics Anonymous. I am currently level 62, have a level 5 clan (soon to be level 6), have all of my skills, including the useless ones, and still have over 5mil SP to spare. It took me three weeks of grinding for 12+ hours every day to go from 54 to 55, including 54 deaths in one siege and 32 deaths in another, both in the same weekend.
I got 1.5 A sets, but one of those is in a process of becoming +6 ^^. A wearpon of each grade, all but the A grade are plused, And close to 3 wh's full. Well, 1 us full due to the event, but still.

I'm the exact same way. I spend majority of my time in Giran looking for deals, OE'ing and crafting. I went from 20 mill to almost 90 mill in a couple months. Then I hit a streak of bad luck. Lost it all almost in one night. Just failed everything possible. Had 7 mill left and a Deadman's Glory I crafted just before I almost lost it all.
I almost quit the game...took about a week break, came back and slowly am getting up there. Crafted a Tat ring a few days ago. Got me 24 mill. Then the event started and I spent it all on it. Went for broke, made back about 60 mill so I'm happy. Now I just got to sell all the **** enchants and stuff ><

Perhaps you miss read that part. In addition to dying at sieges, from 54-55 I was level 53 a number of times. I did pole parties that whole time, approximately 12 hours a day for three weeks. It was me, a clanny and an OOP se, so the exp was fast and heavy. I still died much more frequently than my partner.
Oh yeah, I was also able to purchase all of my level 62 skills at level 62, and still had a plethora of extra SP. I was also recently promoted to President of Dieaholics Anonymous for my great skill in dying, most notably due to the 5 deaths in 6 trains in ABG.
