I remember there was a plug in allows u to zoom out freely. it was about 2 years ago tho. is it still allowed ? what is it (i forgot).

It was never "allowed"... it was, and probably still is a ****.

L2 doesn't have plug-ins of any kind, by the way. Well, legal ones ;D

They can ban you from using that plugin, being a mod for L2 files, not allowed by EULA.
And i agree, the zoom sucks as it is now :(

I remember hearing it was actually part of the Korean client but we never got it.. But yeah it is not legal to use here either way

Nah, it was part of the engine and since back then the files weren't encrypted it was fairly easy to change.

Yes, zoom was slightly further out back in prelude/C1. I believe it was either a patch during C1 or C2 that decreased the zoom range for some odd reason.

Any less zoom and we'd be playing an FPS - Tho, I admit, when in Dungeons, pressing page down to get FPS usually looks nice and pretty.
