Fear drops from Enchanted Iron Golems Golems in the pit under Ivory Tower.
Shadow flare used to drop in entrance to Devel's Island, off those skeleton pike men and archers. But I think they drop now in Tanor Canyon somewhere, I do not know which mob though :( If you manage to get one, get another one (solar or shadow flare) to get some nice cash selling it - people are willing to pay few million for those books :p

Now, this is just opinion, but I don't feel that curse fear is really worth it. Shadow Flare most definitely. But don't kill yourself to get curse fear. Especially if you are hunting in an area where you are two shotting your mobs.
It doesn't land all the time and you sometimes find you are spamming it when you could just be nuking.
I stopped using it for anything serious and just use it to sometimes play jokes on party members :cool:
