Frost Buffalo and SB Greater Shield

What is the best way to kill these things without them spawning into the group. I really dont want to have to pay the extortion fees people are chargning for this book. Thanks for any help.

Don't use a skill on them. That is what makes them spawn into a group. If you are a melee fighter, this should not be a problem. If you're a Nuker or Healer, I'm not sure what you can do; maybe get a friend who is a fighter to help you?

Only physical skills seem to trigger them from what I recall. I was unable to make the splitting mobs in the frozen lab split on my ES.

I don't know of any magic attacks that makes them split

magic skills dont make the split up, only physical skills do, just dont use a skill if you're a melee and you're home safe
