Just thought I would post here with a bit of news about my L2Pets site.
As some of you may have heard the forums were hacked and were wiped. It would also appear that the hacker had managed to send a mass email calling all the members "Lamers".
I am sorry for this email beeing sent. I appreciate all the hard work that everyone had put into the site and I do not think anyone is a Lamer.
As for the site I am working on a new version and a new look for the forums.
Just thought I would put this here and let everyone knwo what was going on and about the email.
:( That sucks.. I had to completely redo my site some months back for something similar too. Not outright damage but a lot of bots and spammers gaining access and using all up webspace and such.
I had been having Spammers as well. Hopefully with this new version I will be able to remove that.
The main time consuming part is the fact that my resent backups are missing and my only other one os from a year ago and its corrupt. So I am manually fixing it. I allready have the new template finished and will then need to convert the old DB to the new version and it should be back up.
