Shilen Knight is a very good class and will be better with:
0. Majestic Unsealed set
1. NM set
2. DLE + Health = to start fight
3. DLE + Critical Damage = When HP bonus lost beacause +Helth is useless after some hits
4. SOM + Acumen = For Debuff and Magic skills
* Too expensive but good :)
* SK is a very versatility char :)
* He is good for tank, PvP, AOE. (not good to solo before lvl 64)
* SK is strong against Archer and others Mellee
* Sk weakness is Nukers. But who is not ? :))))
Actually, that setup works nicely. I hit hard and fast, and crit a lot to boot. I have great nukes that can destroy most any opponent, especially with the increase in Matk from the Elem Sw.
i use
+4 NM heavy set
+4 Maj jewls
+4int -4wit
+4dex -4 str (NM set makes this +2dex+2con -4str)
DLE/hp to start fight
+7 TallumBlade/haste (257/140) good for hitting and nuking
I like the haste instead of critdmg cause w/ focus buff and +2 dex my crit is only 120 crit dmg doesnt come into play alot haste however is constent.... and ++ tallum instead of a forgotten for matk
I have a clan mate in 6+ doom and its pretty terrific. The pdef isnt too much less than an IC set and the MP regen is really nice for a SK with all their magic attacks. I know not everyone can afford to get a doom set to 6+ but its worth considering.
+6 doomset is actually less def than a maj or nm set with safe enchants btw.
pvp with an agrade weapon isnt too great for sk. som or dle is ok or perhaps that nice OE weapon. i use a FB with focus(gogo ST) and its amazing other than sss costs. health sa for low HP tank doesnt gain too much(25% hp of 4-5k hp isnt impressive).
for armor id stick with the Maj heavy. very nice bonuses for DE. and personally ive only had tatts on my sk once for brief amount of time. was +str - con but now i dont use any tatts(no high stats to spread out although str is tempting to - for some...)
the thing about SKs tho is that any setup could work if you use the strengths. so if you like to nuke more you can or if you prefer the melee side can do that inline with your particular setup.
