there are complete different play styles.
a gladiator makes fun in high levels and you need always partys with buffers. u cant play him alone without Buffers.
a Warlord is a Pole char. He levels much faster in PVE but is complete useless in pvp.
All 2 Chars a party classes, bit a warlord only needs a SE for VR and Heal to make fun in Pole to get tons of exp.
Gladiators and Warlords are actually a LOT different.
Gladiators focus mainly on 1 versus 1 in both PvE and PvP. They can cause a lot of damage quickly, but only to one target at a time. They also have a lot of HP and are good at off-tanking/PvP when they themselves aren't the target.
Warlords are all about the 1 versus many. They specialize in polearms, so they are able to hit a lot of mobs in an arc in front of them. However, they are very bad at burst damage against 1 target, but very good at long term damage against a lot of targets. Because of this they aren't very good at PvP, and a lot of people consider Warlords to be the red-headed stepchild of Lineage 2.
Does provoke cancel target status like knight's hate spells?
Also is Dreadnoght skill Shock Blast AoE?
How good is the crit power on single target skill for Warlord?
All this could make a great pvp charcter. Besides, Warlords are the best at what they do. Tyrant outshines a Gladiator (imo) quite a bit considering they are very similar classes.
I have to diagree a little bit here. The gladiator is a fun class, and they DO have great AOE spells. My friend has been soloing his lvl 55 near the ice castle where there are groups of 1/2 hp mobs. He does great there with the herb drops. Lvls very fast there too. If you want more specifics on playing a Glad, let me know here.
To everyone who thinks that Warlords are crap in PvP, I suggest you watch a couple sieges where warlords are defnding the inner castle. I watched a group with 4 warlords and 4 healers completely stop EVERY person who tried to enter there. In tight quarters and with buffs and a healer, they are almost invincible.
Yes, they do fare worse in 1v1 situations, but honestly, how many 1v1's are there? Most PvP, at least on my server, is ganks. And no one ganks a Warlord.
BTW Gladi's are also good at PvP, but better at 1v1 than mass PvP.

a Gladiator isn't as good as people put them out to be, there only good attack is triple sonic slash, other than that i wouldn't say they are too good.
A warlord on the other hand i would love to have in my clan because of their abilities in seiges and clan wars. they help everyone else out with their area attacks. if you asked me i'd say warlord is the better of the two.
Warlords make money quiet efficiently. Poling with a buffer (2 box) I can make upwards of 200k aa per hour, this will increase as I level, not to mention all the normal drops plus adena drops that you will get.
They are also cost efficient. Think about it, I generally pull up to 12 mobs. 12 mobs hit for around 280 damage for 1 bss, and killed in what, 20 hits @ worst = 20 bss per pull.
A gladi will chew through alot more bss and thus costs more.
