so i made a scavvy and a would be SE and was going to duo them so that my scavvy can spoil stuff and make me money, but it seems now that the manor system is a much better choice for that than just spoiling (i haven't played in quite a bit, so the manor was something new for me).
i read around and asked around and everyone tells me that getting mats through the manor is a lot faster than spoiling. so then.. why the heck would anyone make a scavvy nowdays? should i just dump him?
For key mats and recipes. But they arent going to be worth much till B grade. My advice is sub a BH and start at 40. If there is any class begging to be subbed, its a BH. If you want to make your time worth while from 1-40 make an Warsmith or Overlord whom cant be subbed, cant go wrong there.

Eh. Way I see it, it's a lot faster to do 1-40 on the scavvy than 75 on the main.
Plus by the time you're subclassing, you hopefully have money already.
Key materials, recipes and scrolls are still worth spoiling....that said the rates and locations still suck....I think BH's could deal with the manor being the better source for basic mats....IF the spoils of key materials were 100x better than they are.
Sadly most spoils are still crap and NC does nothing to fix them.
corrected for you
make a dagger just manor all the mats you can
whatever you dont use sell and buy key mats and recs
only time you will lose out is for S grade but thats hard either way
The way I look at it, if you have a high lvl SE behind you and a good weapon, you might as well spoil....
I guess it doesnt really matter all that much at low levels... but when you can spoil 1-10 animal bone or more from a single mob on most spoils.... then spoiling and seeding is deffinatly worth it.
Well I'll tell you. I have yet to do the manor system. I stopped playing my scavy at lvl 60. just recently brought her back. but I make a crap load of money ..now at lvl 68..I spoiled everything i needed for A grade gear..and made enough for my weapon. I can go to Beast Farm and on a good day spoil 2-3 recs worth 36-40mil each. plus the extra A grade mats you get sell very well.
True, most other classes can kill twice as fast as a BH. But if you pick the right mobs to spoil it pays off. For example: seed and spoil a special type of mob around aden town. You will get a good number of fruit in one day, and one or two EWC scrolls on top of that. I guess I like the BH better cause I did months and months of seeding with a dagger but I always enjoyed the BH cause you never know when that next spoil will pull up that hard to get item. ;)

At higher levels is where you really play your role, its just hard getting there for sure. Manor is great, but don't forget, it normally dosen't cost you anything more than you MP to get items spoiling, and your drops aren't effected - I'm not sure what status on other servers is, but on Gustin, alternative seeds arent used, so your only ever getting fruit + Adena back when you seed. Also, at higher levels, the best way to get Armor/Jewlery/Weapon parts is through spoiling.
You won't see your true impact until higher levels, sadly, many clans don't help lil dwarfs get there now-a-days, But if it wasn't for our single 7x bounty hunter in our clan, we wouldn't craft half of the things that we do.
