Us folk over on Gustin are organizing an Elf War. Dark Elves versus Light Elves, it will take place in the Neutral Zone on re-rolled characters. The level limit will be 20th (no 1st class change this helps keep everyone’s skills on a relative level playing field) and top NG gear is allowed. As it stands now this event will be on Friday 15th, the start time will be finalized over the next few days. I encourage all those interested to join.

Too bad I dont have any toons on Gustin but this seem like a very cool event and I will try to join in.
It's just for sub 20 toon's so most people are re-rolling. I've revived an old level 10 I had when I first started, so he's currently in training for the event. :)

Ok, it will take place the 15th and start at 9pm EST (which is 5am the 16th GMT I think) but I’m sure it will last a few hours so the Europeans can show up a bit late with no worries (most of you guys stay up all night anyways).
We just need to make sure there is an even split of DE vs. LE (I know the DE’s rule but we still want it to be fun).
Maybe you guys should ask people who are participating what race they plan on playing. Could be a little work intensive but you could get an idea of the sides.
You could also set up a temporarly Hotmail account and just tell people that if they are planning on participating they can send an e-mail with "ligh elf"/"dark elf" in the subject. That might be easier for you.
You don't even have to count. Just put light elf in one folder and dark in another and then look at the totals. Ask people to send one e-mail per player with no additional messages as they won't be opened. Just a thought.

Got my LE to 12, and my DE to 14 today <shrugs> .. easy money to get both to 20 and in near top NG by end of the week with the n00b buffs during my spare time. This way I can log in what ever is needed most for the event.

Please do, this is intended as a nice break from the normal grinding and politics. And maybe next time we can do it on another server like GreatnessElite suggested, kind of like a round robin for the servers.
I myself have not voted in the poll as I am making one of each. I will make a final decision Thursday night and vote then. Untill then.. back to the mini me's.

Just make one, you dont have to play on Gustin to participate. Doesnt matter what level you end up being either. I havnt had a chance to make mine yet due to shopping, so i'll be making it tonight and tomarrow right before it starts lol
Who said you had to be a resident of the server or stay on the server after the war. All you have to do is lvl up a DE or LE to lvl 20 with as good a gear as you can afford. Then we have our fun little war, and you can forget the toon exists.

Thats what I did.. though I made two toons to 19. (One DE and one LE). My mains are all on Lionna. As for gear, doing quests on both I earned enough to outfit one of them in top NG light, two top NG weapons (dagger and bow), and top NG jewels. Now I just have to make up my mind on what side to play on tommorow.. hehe.
Oh.. also.. do we have a POC established for each side? Eg.. who to PM on DE and who to PM on LE. This is for orginising forces ect..
Well Faithkill is a BD.. so one might assume they are playing on the dark side? Eg.. they might be the DE POC. So we just need to establish someone for the LE side then if that is the case. I would vollenteer, but I will be arriving a few minutes late (eg.. shortly afer 9:00pm est, as thats 5:00pm here in Alaska and I am just getting off work).
Either way.. there should be a POC for each side to invite folks into a "temp clan" so we can make sure all the rules are followed (level, no class change, etc.). Also that way the two "mini me" clans should be warred so folks are not deleveling constantly or going red if the opponent is "afk" or not responding in a sutable time frame when one sneaks up and attacks from suprise. <laughs> After all, for those of us off server we realy don't care about our toons future. But some of those who do play gustin might. I met one while leveling who plans to participate, and also plans on that toon being there new main after it is all said and done.
I hope something is "orginised" by tonight. <chuckles> Otherwise it may end up being a free for all in the neutral zone. Also I will decide on what side to play on then as well, eg.. one last check on the poll. Currently (as of this post) it would be LE as they are falling behind. 12 LE to 15 DE.
It is just going to be a free for all, i dont know that anyone had any extra clans that we planned to use for this. As for who's going to be leading each camp, its not to big a deal. Just getting people into groups will allow you to see whether there getting only the buffs the should be, and making sure there 1st class change wasnt completed.
Edit - Theres going to be higher numbers then that. I know i can account for probably a whole party of clan mates who are going to join me on the LE's, and i doubt any of them has voted. We'll see how it all plays out.

you guys are right i will be playing a DE (only because i didn't have the time to make a LE). She is a lvl 18 mystic (wind strike ftw). if you want me a POC, but like Durgoth i don't realy see the need. my toons name is GreyHeart.

I tried to give it a go, but it just went;
step 1. port in.
step 2. run a few steps.
step 3. get blasted for 5 times your total points.
step 4. repeat steps 1 to 4.
The L2 players just can't have any fun without said 932'r's spoiling it.
I'm taking my migraine back to bed now. Pain meds arent working, which is why I am on here at the ungodly hour of what ever time it is.
Lineage 2 has quite a few bad apples. Hopefully we can figure a way around this. BTW, whoever did ruin it (I was not there), you all need to get a life. Who in the right mind would ruin it... This type of event was what I was waiting for, if only I could have played on weekdays.
