i read the quest guide on stratics already, but before i start the quest theres a few unawnsered questions i have about leveling the crystals...
my first question is: i was planning on using my other account to bring another character along to carry extra crystals since you are only allowed to have 1 crystal in your inventory when leveling. So this question is a stupid one, but where do i go to buy extra crysals?
my next question:on the stratics guide it says that if a monster is deep blue, the crystal wont level. Since my main is level 64, and the monsters who take the crystal to levels 2-5 are like level 45ish, i think i might have a problem. My other account has a toon who is level 43 but from what i read on the quest guide, you can not exchange a crystal with someone and continue to level it :(. Even though a monster 20 levels lower than me will not level the crystal(according to the guide)...does it mean that the chances of it succeeding are just reduced?
well if your level 6x and it worked for you than i guess ive got nothing to worry about. it did say on the quest guide that deep blue monsters were a reason for "nothing happening" when you try to level it, which probably only meant that the chances of it succeeding are just decreased.
I've levelled soul cry's 0-2 on Nos in field of silence then took them to Eva and done to lvl 3 and 4 on blade warriors. Only thing i found was when mobs went green/purple/blue just took slightly longer but not that much. Lot better now they dont break tho. Cant rember whats 5+ as im still a noobie :)
I leveled just 1-5 in the Forest of Mirrors at the Harit Lizardmen.
The first soul took so long I feared I had done something wrong, or I had to do teh last hit as an Summoner.
For L1-2 it took me 3 hours, the 3-5 I had in 20 minutes. So bad luck I think.
I tried to lvl crystals on green mobs but it just didn't work for me. I had to go to Giants Cave for 1-8 and then go to Devastated Castle for 9 ( think those were the higher numbers... it's been a long, long time.)
But the greens just never worked for me.
Also, I believe there was a question as to where to get more crystals. I think you can just get more crystals from the npc in oren who gave you the quest. Though I think there is something like "you can't have a crystal in your inventory when asking for another". Not sure, as I've said, it's been a long time.
What i normally do is go to npc in giran, make sure my invent has no cry's in, get one drop on floor and repeat til i got about 5 of each, depends on ure WH.

and yeah it did take me a while to get the crstal to lvl 1
but im talking about a third class toon hunting in forest of mirros so i doubt green mobs will be a problem
