Well last night I subbed Tyrant :) I got a few levels already and it seems to be an extremely fun class to play. I just wanted to get some tips, like best gear choices, good hunting places, etc. Right now I just have plated leather and fist blades w/haste.
Well i have a Tyrant about that lvl too and i have +3 Theca Set +3 Fist Blade w/ Haste and +4 DEX +4 STR -8 CON. I have a really nice attack speed fully buffed. Plated Leather works nice too but since i like to balance things a little i went for Theca cause of the Pdef. Just a personal choice. U should get VR + Haste as buffs whenever u can cause they'll help u lvl faster or grab some GSAP and VR and turn Fist Fury on and u'll have a fast killer ;)
The problem with -8 con is that you're probably going to use rsk haste in b-grade. Also, you'll get a number of powers that are dependent on you having low hp. With -8 con, these put you at risk pretty easily. 60% hp for my -9 con tyrant at 58 is a mere 1600 hp. So definitely think twice before nerfing a tyrants con.
Plated leather is a good set though. I've OE'd my set and it still works fine at 58 as long as I have VR.
