i'm quite new to Lineage 2 and have tried a few Charakters already.
Now i decided to play a Human Rouge (i'm LVL 21 now).
My questions now is: " What Armor should i buy? "
At the moment i'm wearing a Heavy Mithril Armor Set (+3 Mithril Breastplate, Mithril Gaiters, +3 Helmet, +3 Hoplon) from my former Dwarf. Should i sell this Armor and buy a Light Armor? The Salamander Skin Mail looks nice, but is it worth buying it?
future advice. dont enchant shields. the p def on a shield doesnt add to your overall p def and doesnt effect the rate at which you block incomming attacks. but dont trust me, just look at your p def, unequip and re-equip the shield several times. also, note that shields reduce evasion (-8 is quite a bit). i have seen d grade daggers xp in heavy as you are doing, it seems to work okay, but once you get to c grade you may want to ditch the shield and the heavy armor at once, a rouge light armor is good because it allows for high evasion, which (combined with evasion buff from EE) makes you dodge a lot of attacks. Also, MalineII has good advice. just pick a friend (http://boards.lineage2.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=general&Number=761060) that you trust and get into their clan.
PS: keep the mithril so you can crush it into crystals later, that you can use to get a weapon or c grade armor. if your clan doesnt offer to front you the crystals for d grade clan armor, find a clan that isnt so stingy.

Thanks for the advice. i did it, because the Armor says that i get some bonuses if every part is enchanted up to +6. About the evasion, yes because of the reduced evasion i wanted to change my Armor to a light one (without Shield)
wait, ive been stabbed in the back by rouge before...
@Lyneen if you go past +3 you risk breaking the item, however, and you should only risk that if you have enough money on hand to buy a spare.
But which one should i get?
- Salamander Skin Mail (looks like it has a high P.Def)
- Manticore Skin Set (Set grants +92 MP)
- Reinforced Leather Set (Set grants + 80 MP)
- Mithril Banded Mail and Gaiters (nothing special, but it cheap)
Academy is part of a clan level 5 and above. Any character below level 40 can join one. So just get in a level 5 clan and the person recruiting should put you in their academy.
You can graduate from it by changing to your second class.
A common misconception. It is actually if you have not changed into your second class. For example, you could be lvl 42 and still be in the academy as long as you have not changed your class.
I used Salamander on my Rogue, and then Plated leather, got the job done. I've seen Rogues XP in heavy though I don't know why, Salamander has pretty decent Pdef for D grade light - and you get extra evasion for using light armor. Also - if you're an archer based Rogue the pdef and evasion aren't as big of a deal as it is if you're using daggers.
In that case, heavy may be the best bet, since Manticore is really only worth using if you can get the boots too, for the MP bonus, and those are craft only as well. Get the best dagger you can first, if you can kill twice as fast, you won't need the better Pdef and Evasion. But don't forget forget about armor.

But you cannot JOIN if you are over 40, even if you're not class changed. Once you've joined you may remain in until you classchange.
We had a level 40 who didn't classchange yet, we actually deleveled him to 39 to invite, then releveled him.
