i've got a little problem:
I started a SpS and leveling is quite cool, but yesterday I tried to go to the Heretic Catacomb.
I can kill the mobs but I am running out of mana 5 mobs later.
SO here is my question, which do I have to start for a good Cata Fight?
well, since you've seen how quickly a nuker runs out of MP with them 4x HP mobs, A melee on the other hand does not have that problem.
So a Good Pdeff/Evasion class with High Damage is good to solo cata's.
Some examples: Destroyer, Treasure Hunter(buffed with SE buffs with at least VR2), Warlord with buffs or lots of HP pots, Gladiator, etc.
Before the AoE nerf, I've watched a video of PlainsWalker with a Pole round up about a hundred mobs or so and beat em to a pulp (he had VR4 though, among other buffs).
So a Good Pdeff/Evasion class with High Damage is good to solo cata's.
On the other hand if you got a healer with you (pref SE) any AoE capable melee is good. I'd recommend a Bounty hunter since you get the spoils too.
I've had my best moments in a catacomb with BH (me), a warlord, SE and a bishop. (in C4 mind you)
SE buffs/recharges, bishop heals and warlord pulls. I just sit and wait for the trains to come and spoil em all! >:)

first your question belongs in "player question" forum, not general discussion.
Most Range classes are not good inside Cata's. IE: Necro, SH, SpS, scor, SR, PR. (nukers are the worst!!!)
Some range are good inside; HE is one that is good inside. if paired up with anther HE or PR, full buffs and a BD.
most meele Excel inside cata's. IE: AW, PW, TH, destroyer, sws, bd, wc, ol, tyrant, glads, dwarfs, and warlords.
dwarfs and warlords do the best in them, so long as they have full buffs a pole and VR 3 at lest.(a BD or a sws is nice to have tho)
I wouldn't solo a PP there, but I would take a EE or bishop there with TuD!!(has instant kill)
I have played a BD since beta - and most of my 60s and begining of the 70s were spent solo in Catas with an SE out of party buffing me - VR is key with a quick attack speed - you basically keep yourself healed. Now later on i was fortunate to creat +16 TSU * SLS and that combined with the buffs was awesome - juts hit lvl 74 and now have Vampiric Dance that will stack with VR - have not had any time to test that yet but i am sure it wont suck :) Based on the lvl of mobs i hunt in the various Catas - i would net anywheer from 25 to 30K per mob - so it adds up quick :)
