Any idea for tanks to equip daggers?

As the title, since sword/blunt mastery adds so little to the overall damage, would it not be good for tanks to run around with focus daggers critting all the time ?

with the masterys stacking for many levels, I doubth you can outdamage it with a dagger :/

No, you're better served with a Focus sword than a Focus dagger here....unless that dagger is highly enchanted (+10 or greater).

Also, aren't many of the C5 skills linked directly to the exact weapons that match your masteries?

in my case no, but other tanks probably.

Our SK runs around with a +8 Bloody Orchid/Focus and he is very happy with it.

Crits help keep aggro - so it really might be productive. Just a plain dagger without overenchantment though seems unlikely to beat out the DPS of a sword. :p

I don't know what would be the outcome of DPS comparison of (Sword+focus+masteries+higher accuracy-less crits) vs. (dagger+focus-masteries-lower accuracy+more crits) on equally enchanted weapons. I guess not much of a difference, so I would probably stick with the sword. And by the way, skill Tribunal (lvl 55) needs a sword to cast.
