Best DE melee DD?

I was wondering what others considered to be the best Dark Elf damage dealer (melee)
I have heard that AW and BD are up there but nothing really specific. From what I heard it sounded like AW, because some sites say they can be pretty scary in PvP while BD tend to do more party support instead of just DD themselves.

they are both great classes in their own right but I think that pretty much covers it.
both are fragile in PvP tho (doesent mean they are bad at it), both have low hp.
How low is their health really? Like, low enough so the get one hit killed or just slaughtered in a 1v1?

I'm just trying to scope out some info for both because I have decided to play as one of them. And BD can use heavy armor can't they?

And as for the AW, I heard that eventually they can kill other players in just a few hits if not one near their level. Is that true?

Like could I just go up to someone my level randomly and just on hit them and go on my way? Or in PvP if I didn't try to tank or take on too many enemies, could I just run out, kill someone then retreat and do it again?

helps to know your enemy.

never ever is 1 class > all.

1 class always > 1 other class.

understand that most servers are full of mages and BD's and glads and HE. knowing this, take some elements from each class and see how well the skills stack.

AW have high speed, high crit damage, and can survive a long time on potion buffs alone. with P reducing skills, glads for the most part can be taken down if you know what youre doing and your opponent is a noob.

versus a BD, youll have a tough time and a quick fight that can go either way.

against Hawkeyes youll absolutely need to be set up for maximum evasion and have mortal strike and sandbomb skills ready. it will as well be a quick fight.

but both BD and AW need some assistance in pvp for maximum ownage. bring a rooter and a stunner if possible.
BD always use heavy, there is no reason to go light armor.. or robe lol.

If you heard that a AW can kill people in 1 shot its kinda true. Their specials do ALOT of damage IF they lands but yeah that doesnt happen too often. In pvp you will see that ranged classes dominate the game totally and thats one of the reasons both BD and AW often use a bow too in pvp.
So, say I was going to fight a human or orc mystic 1v1 with an AW, would it be in my favor? How about with a BD?

So AW special attacks rarely hit or something? So is that class more or less a complete gamble on whether you hit or not, or does it eventually hit fairly often at higher levels?

Because at the very least I want to be able to kill some of my friends who are going to be mystics and one is an elf something. I was originally going to be a SK, but was basically told their damage is more or less insignificant in a fight, so I decided I would do a BD or AW.

I guess one thing I would like to know in general, if played right, which would be better in PvP as far as killing and other people generally don't want to just run up them or want to avoid them. And I don't mean that like they apply all the time, but in general, would you be more worries if an AW or BD was running at you?

again depends on who youre asking. if your friend the elf "something" knows what he/she is doing, they will fear nothing going as spellsinger. to them, no matter AW or BD, as long as theyre purple and running at them, theyre dead in a few shots.

most people fear the AW because of the high damage specials. but a BD can be a powerful foe too when you know your enemy.

the only way youll get to know what's better isnt by asking us. its by getting to know both classes and finding out HOW one CAN be better than the other.

no matter who you ask tho, ranged > melee 99% of the time. for this reason perhaps AW > BD as sandbomb and evasion setup make for a not-so-rough ride into your opponent's backside for a stab at blindingblow etc. hex always helps too.

there is no straightforward answer to your question man. both CAN be great.
The dagger will do better in 1v1 PvP almost every time. Its a true DD, while the BD is a hybrid buffer/DD/tank. In groups, the BD is a greater asset.
Speaking as a BD I agree we are fragile; however there are some ways around it. UD (although it’s only lvl1 it still adds like 1200 to pdef), arrest, hex, demonic blade dance, power break, the dances and like LofL said a bow. Learning how the skills work together is the biggest factor for a successful PVP. But above all else you must remember BD’s are not true DD’s we are DD/support.
How often do the AW attacks miss? I figured they would have a high accuracy. Or is it normal attacks that hit a lot, but special moves that miss? If so, how often do the special attacks hit and do they occur more often at higher levels? And if they do hit, do they do a lot of damage and possibly one hit kills?
And a random opinion question that is kind of silly. Which can you picture leading a group/clan/whatever better. A BD or an AW?
(sorry for my continuing stream of most likely annoying questions)

As for a clan leader, I would suggest the BD so you can be helpful to the clan in lvling.

You're still thinking in terms of 1v1 PvP. Quite frankly, 1v1 PvP sucks; there's a good reason why, apart from Olympiad which has special rules, there's very little 1v1 PvP. The fun stuff is generally group v. group, so think less about how you personally are doing and think more about how your group is doing. You'll typically be PvPing in a party, so think about how you can do the best for your party.

And ultimately, it's gonna come down to what you like to play. BD are weaker 1v1 but you wouldn't want to go into a 9v9 without one in your group.
First off, fights are never fair. With that in mind class does not matter so much. And you should not try to make that way.

classes:
SK-tank class melee fighter. SK has the best damge for a tank and lowest hp. Sometimes called the mage-tank. Not many people play them, because other tanks are better at group/raid tanking. But SK is the best tank for solo hunting. PvP SKs along with other tanks are the last to be targeted, because they are the hardest to kill. Also with their high damge (for a tank), spells, and cubics can be quite nasty. Very good vs archers and daggers.

BD- Party assist class, meaning main job is to help the group. Dual sword mastery means good melee damge. With dances and DE magic can do a lot of damge to people fast. But they are targeted pretty fast in a fight, and with all DEs they don't have much hp.

AW- Damge dealer in a group. High damge out put. But 1v1 don't last too long vs other classes, because of low Hp and low Cp.

It all depends on what type of pvp you are doing.

Ganking other people play a BD. Because the archers and nukers will need your buffs.

Getting ganked SK is nice because they are the last to be targeted in a group. That means you can be sneaky and take out a few peeps before you go down.

Picking fights or PKing. AW would be a little better at this. High damge means peeps go down fast.

All up to you.
