General Discussion Started Last reply 6 posts
well all started abut month ago.

i got an e-mail that my accounts r canceled due to no fund on credit card.

ok. i went to plaync / my account add there a new card .. and push a button to pay money for a month foreahaed.
i got e-mail that account activated. when i tried to login i got message that account is blocked du to no payment! i was shoked then i went to support. thrue 4 hours of email conversation with SUPPORT i have found that my PAY was rejected because i have used a CARD not in that country where it was registered.

YET I HAVENT GOT MY MONEY BACK !

so i asked a friend to pay insted of me.

i was shoked becuse before that i have payed each month for half an year and all was fine.

i have found that NC SOFT adopted a new sequre policy that dosent allow to pay from country differet to one where CARD was registered. posibily that is fine - BUT WHY I HAVENT GOT ANY E-MAIL ABOUT THAT ? - maybe beсause they just dont care.

fue days ago once again i got a e-mail that i should pay for account. and what do u think ? was it ok ? NO !!!

when i was trying to pay for account i got a message - FRAUD SUSPICTION ... thru a long conversation with SUPPORT i have found that i cant use my credit card for 60 days to pay at NCSOFT - WITHOUT ANY RISON! so once again i have asked a friend to pay insted of me ... and u know what is the funest part of this ????

THAT ONCE AGAIN MONEY HAS GONE FROM MY CARD

and bank telling me that they went to NCSOFT as a pyament for a game account. but i could npt pay becouse when i was trying i got a messge telling me that FRAUD SUSPICTION ..

GOD **** I WONT TO PLAY ! I PAY MONEY TO NCSOFT AND HAVE A HEAD PAIN INSTED !

You're lucky it was just insufficient funds.

If for some reason your card gets charged back to NCSoft they permanently freeze your accounts and never let you re-activate.

Policy is policy and it's there for a reason, if you're looking for that reason then posting here may not be the best thing to do, in my opinion.
THEY CHANGING POLICY WITHOUT INFORMING CUSTOMERS ABOUT THAT
All caps equals annoying, not emotion. Let carefully chosen words express your frustration. Take a minute, do something until you calm down a bit, consider your situation, then let flow. No sense making your own headache worse.

[editor - opting to paraphrase]
Then that would mean NCsoft has changed its policy without informing its customers!

From the Lineage II User Agreement (http://www.plaync.com/help/eula_lineage2.html) under the section 1. Terms of Agreement:

(b) Amendments. NC Interactive may amend this Agreement or modify the Rules of Conduct at any time in its sole discretion by posting on our web site (a) the amended Agreement, currently at http://www.plaync.com/us/help/eula_lineage2.html or (b) the modified Rules of Conduct, currently at http://www.lineage2.com/legal/rules.html . Amendments to the Agreement and/or modifications to the Rules of Conduct will be effective immediately upon posting. Your use of Lineage II after the effective date of any amendments to this Agreement constitutes your agreement to the amendments. You agree to check this Agreement and the Rules of Content periodically so you will be familiar with their content as amended or modified from time to time.

And now for the section relevant to your situation, MrDionis.

5. SERVICE FEE
Our fees and billing procedures are published in the registration section of the Web Site, which are incorporated herein by this reference. All fees are stated in U.S. Dollars. YOUR MEMBERSHIP FEES ARE PAYABLE IN ADVANCE AND ARE NOT REFUNDABLE IN WHOLE OR IN PART FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, INTERRUPTION OR UNAVAILABILITY OF SERVICE (SEE ALSO SECTION 10 BELOW). We will automatically charge your credit card on a recurring basis for applicable Account fees, plus any applicable taxes we are required to collect, and you authorize us to do so. All recurring Account fees are payable in advance. YOU ARE FULLY LIABLE FOR ALL CHARGES TO YOUR ACCOUNT. The first thirty (30) days after the opening of your Account is a free trial period. You will not be charged any Account fees if you cancel your account within the thirty (30) day trial period. Any person who has been a Member is not eligible for any subsequent free trial period. By paying by credit card, you represent to NC Interactive that you are the authorized user of the credit card used to pay the Account fee. You agree to promptly notify NC Interactive of any changes to your credit card account number, its expiration date and/or your billing address, and you agree to promptly notify NC Interactive if your credit card expires or is cancelled for any reason.

NC Interactive reserves the right to alter the fees payable for the Service. Any alteration to the fees will be posted on the Web Site at least 30 days prior to such increase taking effect. If you do not agree to any such increase, you should terminate your Account prior to the date on which the alteration takes effect, otherwise the revised amount will automatically be debited to your Account.

In summary, NCsoft has agreed to provide prior notification to changes in policy -- whether or not you are aware of the policies currently in place is up to you.
A service agreement has to obey the national laws of both partners if they resist in two different countries. In case your national law does not allow rules like change of eula without notification you are able to sue nc soft .
However this step would end in a partial refound of your money and the close of your account.

(Current Example: Switzerland is in the process to add Skype to the list of phone providers. Even Skype is only offering *free* phone services to swiss citisan over internet.)
Please continue to work with the Support team about this issue; we can't discuss your account here on the official message board. Thank you!
