Thanks for the current event, but....

I will be glad when it's over..lol.

I've been killed 5 times by either the event mobs or by other groups that were fighting over the mobs and the drops. I've gotten more mats during this event than I usually do from a month of casual manoring, but geez..it's really brought out the greed fiend in me. I just can't stop trying to get more stuff...

But on a sour note, I don't think it's fair to everyone that the mobs spawn in the same places around or about the same time everyday. I end up fighting the same 4 or 5 guys for each spot everyday (nothing like making new enemies). And we clear the area out in less than 10 minutes usually. They really should have spread this out a little more and made it so that a high level person wouldn't get a drop if they killed a low level event mob. Also an increase in the spawn rate wouldn't have hurt either. I would have been glad to get less stuff per kill if the mobs spawned alot more frequently.

Just my 2 rupies...

Da Smookster...
I wouldn't say they spawn in the same places all the time.

On the first day, there was a big spawn in Valley of the Saints. They never spawned there again and because of that, I haven't killed a single other event mob.
I haven't been able to find any mobs during early european time, nothing for me so far.
Have you come to elmore yet?
Yes, didn't really see anything there.
I haven't seen a single event mob. Non-event IMO.
I haven't seen a single event mob all week...I also haven't been on all week. Think there's some sorta connection or just coincidence?
Event? If I did not read the boards here.. I would not have even known about it for the lack of seeing any event mobs at all. As far as my characters are concerned.. there is no event.
lol should see the amoutn of mats I got form this event so far..

I can make like 3 s grade weapons.
I like this type of event, since you can get major mats, but i also hate it because they are happen at certain time and only people that are around at those times get them all. They need more spawns and more random spawn areas. people already know all the spawn spots and just go from one t the others
No one in my clan ever saw these even mobs. Maybe we shouldnt hang out in the caves soo much
"Nice" to notice how those kinds of events bring out the worse of people. Never seen such high amount of greed, careless. Suddenly noone thinks about your partymembers (probably even happy if they died during fight, cause more drops for them)..
Sad.. just sad...

My one event raid experience was disgraceful - damage dealers fighting over drops mid raid, healers stop healing to collect dropped items. My baby nuker had to take over healing duties because the as before mentioned healers (the members of one group were all from the same clan) were too busy attacking the boss and minions so their party would have a better chance of getting priority over the drops. In the end, the tank died twice (rezzed by scroll each time) and received nothing - my whole party received nothing while the all clan party took thousands of materials, and around a hundred b grade parts and recipes.

I logged out as soon as the raid was done.
As NC Soft stated:
"Monsters across all level ranges will randomly appear in various locations"

Well, let me say: those "various locations" are nothing but various and randomly does not describe a "spawn at specific time" situation....

If you consider someone in D- or C-grade to being "high lvl", you're right.

We enjoyed this event with the whole clan, including the Academy - even if it meant having to wait for everyone to show up at a spawn point and missing some of them. Great fun. :D

Well grats of having great clan then. Most clans dont wait for you. They start attacking right when they see mobs and usually when you get there.. all is done. Or the very "best" part is when you're even in same party and asking if you could join and get no reply and couple minutes later you see junks of stuff being picked up over and over..
And the saying - get a better clan - wont work, cause most clans are like that. At least in Franz it seems. Meh.. just disappointed in people generally...
And yeah.. the respawns sure are "random" pff...

Since I'm the one who started organising those hunts ... thanks.

I won't tell you to search for a better clan, though. Just ... either make your clan better, or make a better clan.
i managed to kill 1 event mob so far, appart from that i havn't seen any.

I haven't been able to find any mobs during early european time, nothing for me so far.

Well when talking of me the time and the spots where mostly the same for the event mobs. On gustin most mobs where already dead before the anouncement was out IE yesterday i killed 2,5 groups with clannie before the anouncement was out. the other spots we know where empty already when we arrived. Its no wonder u dont see any mobs when they already dead before the anouncement starts.
I wont complain cause i did work to know the spots i also gave a hint in the Event thread how to find them.
So yep great event for me.

I found two sets of event groups, and i'm happy. But i'm looking for me :D
The biggest problem with this event is that the ones getting the mats are in most cases the most organised groups/clans, which are the ones that really didn't need it in the first place, screwing over everyone else twiceover, because not only aren't they getting many event mobs, they're also going to have a harder time selling their mats because the others won't have a need to sell for quite a while to come.
Here we shout in ally chat when we see an event spot. But we go there and kill mobs as fast as we can, whether others are already here or not. Doesn't matter in the end since mats go to CWH, it benefits the whole clan.
And this event is a good benefit so far :)

On a side note : you don't need to have a clan to benefit from that event. If mobs are green/light blue to you, with a little time you can kill them all in solo.
Hmm well i found most of the spots on my own the others i was told from some ppl that could not do em alone. So we party up and did together ( fair to me ).
Thats how i did this event i checked my spots first and did place char later when i done all to the next spot they will pop up then wait 3-4 hours for next spawn. If the ppl that gave info to me in first place where on i send a pm for party if they where to far away i did on my own.
Also if u invite some lower lvls to ur pary because they gave u the hint where event mobs are they look out for more so we all only win. This event i worked with only 2 other ppl together and we got since now like 15 groups.
If we had more ppl we could have done like 10 RBs too. At one spot are now 4 RBs on the same spot because no one did them.
This event takes some efford and time to find Mobs ad get rewarded. Its more easy when u teamwork.
Thats why large clans have it more easy too but even if ur not in a large clan u can find the groups before the big clans arrive.
BTW selling mats ?

Well such a clan attitude sucks indeed. There must be better clans around though.
Yeah, there are better clans. We attacked as soon as we saw stuff, but almost all of it ends up in the clan wh, so who cares who kills it. Or, at least, it will end up in the clan wh once we have room in the clan wh to put more of it. Our problem was people attacked before they were ready and died a lot. I agree though, the event does bring out the worst. We had people pk'd, and I know of clan wars that have started over it.

My main complaint is that this is a european-centered event. The event is over before 5 pm PST, with the possible exception of some raid bosses. Also, nothing was randomized. All the mob spots were camped by Wednesday. The kind of spawn with the bunny rabbits was much better, cause you actually had to hunt for them.

I ended up gathering many, many mats, but at the end it really wasn't worth the mean-spiritedness it brought up.
Eurocentered??? There's no mobs spawning during my playtime either.
I was excited to read about the event at first. Then I hit the boards. Realised that a relative nooblet like me (lvl 37 and only played 1 month) who solos a lot is not gonna get anything from it. It would have been better to just give some bigger clans the mats right away and extend the pumpkin event until the 15th instead IMO. That way the organised groups get all the mats and us noobies can grab some money to buy the stuff we need.
i play like 6-7 hours a day (well maybe not play but im logged in)
not one single msg yet
i assume they just dont spawn for my timezone
I've seen one raid boss (already engaged by groups) and that's it. Pretty much a non-event for me.
Saw a ton the first day, then I've been camping raid bosses for subclass quest ^^.

As far as I can tell, when the global msg shows up, my clan/alliance usually find tons of em, so when you see it, scout around mad.
I must keep missing the messages then... :(
The event actually begins about 30 - 60 minutes before the message goes out. The overwhelming majority of my loot collection has taken place before the message. By the time the message hits, the spawn is half over.
I've been doing the second class change quests and walking instead of porting. Haven't seen a single event mob either.
outside aden, just west of abg port, out side dion(eg)
I finally got to kill some event mobs yesterday. Only reason I got to them before they were all dead was just by coincidence. I happend to stumble accross them before the announcements came and by the time the announcements hit, they were all dead in that particular area. My problem is not the organized clan that run through and wipe out the 60+ mobs so much as the A and B graders running through the lowbie areas 1 shotting all the sub 40 event mobs while the real newbies try to kill even 1 of them.
This may get deleted but for the people that have yet to get anything from this event.... There is 1 spawn left, it may be different on other servers but the last spawn is at 4:40pm central, about 2 hours. The downlow on the event is they spawn first in low areas, so dorf village, orc etc, then on to gludin, gludio, heine, giran oren and up. There is 5-10 mins between each spawn area, so you have about 10 mins to clean all the low areas then on to gludin etc. The announcement is almost an hour after the 1st spawn.

My ideas: events like this own, but they really should make it completely random and constant, not just 1 spawn time. Like if a group gets killed then instantly another spawns somewhere.

It would be neat if they added an npc to each town and hunting area and when the mobs start spawning, the hunting area that they spawn in and the nearby town gets a shout. "Event NPC: Monsters are invading 'such hunting ground'!

Or I was thinking about something like this to make it even more fair. Lets say you hunt mobs for event food or other items. And then you can summon an event imp that follows you around. And randomly the imp says something like he sees a dark gate opening and undead armies headed their way. And then a small spawn goes ontop of you depending on your level.

There is so many things that they could do to these events to make them more interactive and fair to everyone.

Heres a basic map of areas I know, the first spawn, marked by 1's are already done for the day. The 2's should be soon. Again this map I made is only intended for people that have not yet gotten anything from the event. Happy Hunting!

Maybe those ice chests should drop maps. atleast they would be more usefull than chasing newbs down the road.
Yup, pretty much been said already. Event sucked for most, including me.

Though I predicted this, NC just can't do events without shooting themself in the foot. They have a good idea, and implement it poorly.

Want proof? Santa hats not permament.
lers, you are 100% wrong. THe last two raid events were FANTASTIC and a complete blast for almost everyone. This one is nothing even close to how they did the last one, not even close.
Well for me this was the best event in a long long time because for once it doesnt rely on farming hundred of drop items (read necter, letters etc).

Im a Euro that plays on one of the US servers so times are often impracticle to take part in clan things. But the spawns for these worked out perfect for me. One just as I got home from work and one at about 11pm.

Our clan worked well together on this so we knew all of the higher level ones on that map plus there was a good spawn at the south of beast farm at the bridge with a 4 Sep raid boss that wasnt too hard to take down. 2-3 grps would form and each would head to spawns to check if they are up and usually take them down on their own. Then once all the small mobs were taken out we would form up and see if we had enough to do the main raid bosses and then each grp take turns picking up loot.

I agree there were instances of people being greedy and it caused a little tension but it got sorted quickly.

For me this was the best event since that one in halloween 2005 (I Think) where raid bosses spawned outside towns and there was loads of PvP as people fought for them.

Mystrl pass this on for me - MORE OF THE SAME!!
