Hey everybody. I'm currently completing my first class quest, just need to level up to 20 and I will be an orc raider. My question is will people start leveling soon? I can't imagine grinding for much longer going totally solo. I was thinking of applying to a clan who's academy does lower level raids. Do these raids get you any XP or is the purpose of raids loot based?
I guess its just hard to find motivation to keep grinding without knowing that I will start to get to grind at least in a group and not solo.

The number of players in the lower levels is not that high, unlike when the game launched, which is why you've been soloing so much.
I think the academy is a perfect choice for you. It'll help you meet people, and even the high-level clan members will enjoy the company leveling alts. You'll also get the benefit of their knowledge and experience -- many areas of the game, particularly earning money, are not easy. Raids give quite nice XP; they're probably not the ONLY XPing you'll do, but you meet people and have lots of fun with them.
Try shoting in dion or Giran or post in the clan forums. Academies are for players below 40 and when a player completels his/her 2nd class change the clan gains a good amount of reputation points which allow for clan advancement and such.
Level 5 clans can create an academy for players level 16-40. There is a clan quest that you can do that will get you some pretty good D grade armor (robe, light and Heavy available and they are all full sets too). The clan will help you with this, or they should anyway, and you will need to have a sponsor assigned to you from the main clan. Clan's with academy's will want you because when you complete the second class change at level 40 you will graduate from the academy, the clan will receive a certain number of "Clan Reputation Points" for this. These points are very usefull to them.

well actually as I'm sure you noticed there has been a huge increase of lower lvl ppl mostly because clannies are rerolling to earn the extra clan points. So right now all you got to do is look around shout a bit for some groups and make some friends and you'll be set. This game is a very social game as well as a terrible, but somewhat enjoyable, grind. what server are you bud?
