Player: Yeah, it was fun but a few higher lvls almost ruined it.
Me: How'd you like to do it again, only slightly different?
Player: no thnx, it'll probably end up like last time or maybe even worse
Me: what if i said it would end up tons better because there would be a heck of alot more people doing something alot more fun then just PvPing?

Me: i'm talking about a three way capture the flag friend!
That's right people! and here's the best way for it to work....
3 teams, Humans, Elves, DEs, each team has a flag (NOTE: the only flag thats possible is a player, i'll get to it later)
the flags are located in the DE/LE/Human territories (humans get the bottom of the neutral zone) the way it will work is your team has to go into other team's territories and steal their flag and bring it back to your place for a point.
two things are important here: organization and alot of people
we'll need at least these for this event...
a flag player for each team (dwarf). To capture the flag, you must come close to it and smack it with fists, the person playing the flag will then auto follow you, if you die, he goes back to his spot.
also will need about 6 referees. 1 for the three flag locations to ensure no cheating there, and 3 to roam about and maintain order and prevent senseless killings (from higher lvl griefers)
once again, we should have a level cap of 19 and under (just fighters and mystics)
last time that didnt work out so well so it will depend greatly on people's ability to cooperate.
some last remarks, there will be a line (of adena) to symbolize a *safe zone* around each flag, a person taking the flag is safe inside this zone and if they're killed IN it, then the ref there will rez them (it's meant as breathing space)
as for rezzes on the field. you can get rez'd in your zone only. so a DE thats killed in the LE lands can't get rez'd there, so he goes back to town. but a DE thats killed in DE lands CAN get rez'd
so whatcha think? we'll need lots of people again as i said above, we'll need some sort of way to know who wants to be flags (plz volunteer :p) and who's participating in general. PLEASE REMAIN ANOMYNOUS. we don't want clan wars here!! i'm thinking we give this like 2 weeks or so to get max amount or players
P.S to Mistryl, it used to be that people could ask for GMs help in organizing tournaments and stuff, any chance for anything like that plz? ^.^

My toon is there and ready (although I might just get her a tat higher LOL..Never hirts to be closer to 20 :grins: ) and it sounds like fun.

How about Bartz server? there's alot of people on there to begin with. im gonna try to get all the heros on all the servers to let all the players know about it :p
and im thinking sometime on saturday, which would be the 23rd. unless to many peeps are going away for christmas vaca. then maybe the weekend after.
as for rewards, meh, i'm too poor :p and the teams probably wont stay on the server anyways so i dunno what a good reward could be.

I took a look at your event. You know this involves a LOT of organisation and coordination. I hope you have a solid clan to support you if you are to do this successfully.
Have yourselves some enforcers, participant security seems to be a major problem with player generated events.
I would like to see you try out the same theme, DE vs LE war, but try it on another server. My opinion is that you are taking a bite too big for you to chew.
