Alrighty.. I promise not to bother you after this last topic...
Choosing between two DE classes finally. I know I am the only one can decide and blah blah blah, but I like both these class options and I just want to hear what others think. I also have a few questions as well for each one.

Blade Dancer:

Can the BD be a good DD? Also, does it do more damage then a SK?

Are useful in PvP not only for dances but for damage as well?

Are they a class that people usually want to have in a group?

Can they solo at all? And are they good at say, PKing at all, or will they not do well in that?

Abyssal Walker:

I know they are good DD, but how often do their special attacks hit? And are they reliable enough to do good damage and not die before getting near a target?

Are they valued in PvP?

Are they good at PKing? (I would assume so, but not sure)

So basically I am deciding between AW and BD. I like the sounds of both, but I could go either way and want to here more opinions about them like their pros and cons. Also, if you have played as either or know someone that has played as either, I want you to try to "sell" me if possible. Let me know why one of those two classes is good to play in your opinion. And please don't say "Only you can decide." because I would just really like some more opinions because then I won't need to ask anymore questions.. (won't that be nice)

Thank you so much in advance.

P.S. Random question, can you only get those S Grade Infinity Weapons when you are a hero? Because I have only seen heroes with them. Just idle curiosity.

Again. Thankee.
I will answer what I can, since some of those classes I have never played/grouped much with.

A BD can be a very good DD set up correctly. Normally that means getting +STR sets , and getting tats that nerf con for increased str and/or dex.

I dont think the BD can outdamage the big DDs out there, but he still can dish out lots of damage. The BD I group with always gets agro. Ive seen some really mean BDs out there that did insane damage. Dont worry, if you go a BD, your damage output is going to be good, but not amazing.

Hmm... pvp. Well in a seige situation, lets just say you wont be the meat shield on the front line. Cant really say more than that because I dont really recall how BDs fair at seiges.

Is a BD a class that people want to have in a group !
YES! Always. A BD will amost always be welcome in a group. You will have no problems finding a group.

Can a BD solo? Yes. However, your better off in a duo with a Prophet or a WC if you want insane xp.

Can they "Pk" as you put it? Depends what class your up against.... I dont think they be that good to tell you the truth on a 1 vs. 1. But correct me if im wrong.
Well having not played an Abyss Walker but having worked with a couple dagger users and having played a Blade Dancer myself I'll try offer some thoughts.

Blade Dancer: They are support DD's.. you'll be able to do good damage better than the SK but not like an archer or nuker. In PvP same thing applies.. not front line go in add your licks when you can dances are #1 priority though.
Solo you can do (having solo'ed lower EV 50+ myself) but it's better for you in group or duo especially with a buffer. Usually hunting I'll trio with my clans TH and a prophet or WC doing that it like putting mobs through a blender (even the 4x cata mobs) you just kill stuff so fast.
I've never PK'd on my BD so wouldn't know on that end.

The Abyss Walker: Haveing not played one but working with a dagger user (TH so bit different) however... The land rate of the specials seems to be lowish PvE and not all that much better PvP untill you get your Mortal strike or critical blow special around 55 (I think it was).
Then the land rate goes up to quite decent. PvP or PK you're better off archer or nuker for range little hard to land if you can't get close... that said higher level daggers in general are hediously effective at killing things especially if a special goes off.

In short either or is good if well played.. the BD will be more wanted and will solo easier.. the AW you crit and provide stable damage putting anything in a world of hurt if your specials hit (if they crit is virtually an I win button) but are harder to solo if you're not really carefull.

Hope this helps a lil.
I think I am getting a better scope of each class now. Does anyone else have anything?
