Can i play Lineage with this?

So my friend wants to play lineage but he got a ok PC. can you guys help us. please lets us know if this pc will play lineage.

Intel(r) Celeron (tm) cpu 1300hz at/at compatible.
194.576kb ram.

Intel corporation 810 Graphic Controller Hub.

Intel810 video Accelerator.

Intel video bios

will this play lineage ok?
It may start, but I dunno how well it will run, first of I wouldn't want to play the game with less then 512MB ram, and the graphic card you listed is... well barely a 3D accelerator card, way worser then even a Geforce 2 MX who is listed as minimum if I'm not to mistaken.

As I said, it may start, but I dunno how 'playable' it will be.
No, Does the motherboard have an AGP slot?
Not sure about teh AGP slot.
amazingly that should play L2. I started on a worse machine than that.

Just don't go to Giran... EVER... trust me you'll spend about 2 hours trying to get out of there on a machine like that

I would say you should really upgrade to a better machine, but you wouldn't be asking this here if you could, huh? =p

IMO, since a complete upgrade is out of the question, try to get some more RAM.

and a new motherboard so you at least have a platform to upgrade from later
You all sure have alot of faith in onboard video....

I've played with onboard video and i can tell you 14 fps in a FPS just don't fly

I would have said that too, except for the fact that a new motherboard would mean a new processor because that celeron is old enough that any new motherboard probably wouldn't support it.

and if you got a new mobo, you would most likely have to upgrade RAM, and you might as well get a new(er) video card at that point..

definately new cpu
more than likely new ram

onboard video at this stage is still a better bet than that gpu so id prolly take it
There's no way you will get that computer to run well. First of all 810 Intel Graphics will NOT render properly and you will under best circumstances get maybe 10-15 fps if the game will even start. Most of the 810 integrated chips can only allocate up to 8 MB VRAM anyway.

The Ram is below the minimum 256 I recommend at least 512 though, and the 810 can only handle up to 512 at best anyways.

The CPU is virtually maxed out already. It is a socket 370 and the fastest chip they made for the 810 is the Celeron 1.4. A P3 1GHz would perform better, though I don't even recommend bothering with it.

Lastly, if it is a Compaq,HP,Emachine,Gateway or other preassembled junk, then forget about a graphics card as most of those lack AGP capability. I'd say that system needs to go to the garbage, but that's just my opinion. The cost of parts to make it even playable would be more than it is worth.

basicly what i said.. only more thought out and explained better.

You'll either need to completely upgrade (and by upgrade i mean get a new computer) or the best you can probably do is upgrade your RAM some.

You can play Lineage II with that.. just not that well.
I had my laptop for my buffers for a while, 1,8ghz, 512mb ram, 128 int graphic. all lowest graphic setting, and well, it was impossible to play. so much lagg, but it was good enough for just using macros :/

will this play lineage ok?

NO.

Bluntly speaking this setup is horrible.

CPU: Slow, but adequate. (L2 isn't really an overly CPU intensive game.) This (older) celeron however is nowhere as good as it's Mhz might suggest.

RAM: Crippling. Not only is the integrated graphics 'stealing' some system RAM, but L2 is a very RAM intensive game to start with. I consider 500MB of RAM the minimum I would even think of playing the game at. (Windows 2k/XP alone will eat up a large chunk of that memory.) I have 1GB of ram currently and even now I consider that the 'minimum' I would want in a 'new' computer these days. Unless your doing professional graphics/CAD work that 1GB should be more than enough for quite some time. (I'd say at least 5 years, after that however...)

Graphics: DEAD ON ARRIVAL. A $50 addin card will give you 1000% more graphics power than the Intel 810. The Intel 810 is so bad, it makes an Etch-A-Sketch look good! (Ok, I may be exagerating slightly....but not by much!) Seriously though, if you play ANY games on this PC, please consider upgrading to a 'real' video card. Hell, I still use a radeon 9550 and you can get that card for about $40 brand new these days. It even plays games like Doom3, Quake4 and Half-Life2 with almost all the High quality settings.

L2 may load and 'play'...but not only will it look like crap, it will play like crap as well.
Well your dilemma is the gcard :P played the game on an way worser comp then that, I started play L2 on an P3 1Ghz, 768MB ram and an Geforce 2mx :) ran quite well beside in towns :P outside like 20-30 FPS.

But yeah Integrated gcards is... way beyond horrible bad.
Yeah, I have to agree, upgrading from the on board gpu to something else would help you out immensely. For those of you who don't know, that computer has the bare minimum RAM of 256 Mb, even tho it says 195. It is actually using 64Mb for the GPU onboard. The 810, however, has a poor throughput and will most likely cause you to have less than 15 FPs, even in fairly dead areas where no one hunts. You wouldn't even be able to go to Giran with that processor, especially with the number of people there at any given time.

Best bet: upgrade to a PCI GPU with 256Mb onboard RAM if you can find one that your mobo can support. That will at least take a huge chunk of L2's processing off your main board, and allow you to play fairly well, although you wills till suffer from lag due to the low amount of RAM on your mobo.

Next choice: Upgrade to the maximum amount of RAM your mobo will hold. Most likely will be 1Gb on a board that old, but maybe 2Gb. Been a while since I dealt with a celeron under 3Ghz.

I disagree entirely. A PCI video card and more memory would make it run the game, however I don't recommend sinking any money into it.
Details on the Intel 82810 Chipset (http://www.intel.com/design/chipsets/datashts/29065602.pdf)

Maximum DRAM Video cache is 4 MB. 4MB video will not run this game. Max ram is 512 MB, it is a design limitation. he probably has 64 MB + 128 MB = 192 MB ram with 1-4 MB VRAM. You would need more RAM definately. Shared video memory is not accessible as System Memory. Even if he had 256 MB with 64 shaed to video, the computer can only use 192 of it. This game would choke on that system.
