Mithril Gauntlets are part of the "set" that is made to match the composite armor. Dunno why they aren't called Composite Gauntlets. Same thing happens in D Grade with Salamander set, as Ogre Power Gauntelts match the salamander booots and main armors.

if you ask me thats how it should be. its not part of the set, so they should not have the same name.

They just match the Mitrhil set no one ever uses...so would be stupid to call them after a non matching set (composite) huh.

I don't understand what you mean by "It's not part of the set"
Mithril Gauntlets and Ogre Power Gauntlets are set matching pieces. While they may not be required to give a bonus, they do match the sets graphically. Also, if they should have different names because they do not give set bonuses, then why do we have Full Plate Gloves, Full Plate Boots, Karmian Boots, Demon Boots, Plated Leather Gloves, Elven Mithril Boots, manticore Gloves, Birgandine Boots, Brigandine Boots, and Divine Boots since none of these promote a set bonus? There are many more c and d grade sets that also do not give a bonus when a full set is worn; these sets have matching pieces, generally with the exception of the helmet.

in game usually "set" refers to pieces needed for the bonus. IE brig helm, brig shield, brig top and brig bottom = set items, while brig boots and gloves serve no purpose other than prettifulness and are generally excluded from "set" status.
well I se your point. but still, I dont mind having items with totaly different names. would be a bit booring if all items where "set" items.. as B,A and S grade all are... there should be more items that belong to no sets
What I am saying is that Ogre Power Gauntlets and Mithril Gauntlets complete the graphic end of sets with different names (Salamander and Composite to be exact) and there is no real reason for the names not matching the sets the compliment.
Orvieta seems to think that if it's not a set bonus giving item, it doesn't need to have the same name. Maybe I am wrong about that, but that is what the post sounded like.
I feel that if a piece of armor is made to graphically match a set of armor, it should have the same name as that armor. Not completely random names that have no bearing on the set. This should be done regardless of whether a piece conveys a set bonus or not.
Just like Brig Boots and Gloves do not give any added set bonus, they are still consdiered part of the "set" for all intents and purposes, even the names.
crimson boots? I have never ever seen crimson boots on the market >.< maybe back in c1. are they still craftable and drops? or just like divine boots?
Mith gaunlets match comp set perfectly, I have it on my dwarf.
And if you think that's wacked, how about how divine boots look like crap with the divine robe set, and crimson seem to match perfectly. Go fig.
Meh...I rather like boots of seal with my Divine Set myself....crimson boots make me look like a durn Christmas decoration.
I also wish there were more set bonuses...like for dwarven chain armor....I understand it's very bottom C grade, but it has all the visual pieces available...gaitors, breastplate, gloves, boots, and shield...mb a slightly higher chance to land spoil or something.
I guess my point is that there are a lot of different skins out there that the graphic artists put a lot of time into that really never see any action because everyone goes for the cookie cutter armors...because they're the only ones with set bonuses...don't get me wrong...I'm not about to trade in my FP for dwarven chain...but when my scavvy was low lvl something like an increased spoil chance might have tempted me to wear the set instead of breaking the pieces to pay for shot.
More on topic: As has been mentioned Mithril Gauntlets are a perfect match....and comp armor makes dwarves look thinner...just in case you were worried about the extra pounds...
Silenos scouts (lv47) outside aden spoil the crimson boot parts pretty good, took me like 1 1/2 hours to get all parts for 1 craft. Not sure where I got the recipe from. Crimson boots > divine boots cuz nc changed the divine boots texture after they removed them from them game (or was it even before? too long ago to remember).
I got really lucky with the dwarven set, Atro sold me the top and bottom, and got me the rec for the gloves and boots. I already had the parts for the boots from Cruma but I'm stuck on the gloves right now.. I could kick myself for selling all those parts only a few months prior ><
I got the shield as a full drop on Cruma 2 as well.
