Soo i was just wondering bout downloading the game from fileplanet. i'm on a new computer and i want the game, but i don't have the original CDs. so i was just wondering, do all i need to do is download it from fileplanet and i'll be able to play? or is there an unknown surprise awaiting me. (i.e i have to buy the game again or something.)
if you're coming in with a 7day trial you will have to buy an account key(not what it's really called, i forgot) after your 7 days are up, assuming you wish to continue playing the characters you make there. there is also a monthly fee applied afterwards :p other than that the only catch is you waiting on patches to DL!
...Ah! I see that Gamespot has the C5 client (2.9 GB), but I have never used their DL service so I don't know how good it is. And MMOSite.com seems to have the C5 client as well.
I note that Gamershell.com has the C4 client. (2GB) Look for it under the "MMOG Clients" link.
Using the C4 client means that you will still need to let the ingame updater pull all the C5 files (This can take a notable amount of time.) but if Fileplanet or the others are not an option this will work just fine.
There has been a new twist to the download fiasco. i am now downloading backwards. lol. yes thats right backwards. im at about 2 mil KB going down. soo im wondering...WHAT THE HECK!!??! what does that mean?! lol. very frustrating!
