just got my warlock to 52, and well, I have very limitet experiance with summoners.
Im playing the route of a DD, not a healer for my summon.
so, what tatoos should I be using?
I have tougth of these:
*+4str/-4con (Im not sure about this...may be a bad idea?)
*+4wit/-4int
*+4men/-4int (do I realy need this one?)
You actually have attack spells now, so you may not want to whack your Int. I went with +con -str and +int -men on mine.
As a DD, it's your summons that does the real damage, you hit things mostly to get your cubics to activate.
I think he means debuffs. like accuracy and p.attack debuffs. sure they are nice, but i heard int affect the landing rates of them very much.
"+con -str and +int -men" doesent sound like a DD tatoo-build, does it? im pretty sure +int is worthless, I rather have men then int, for regen and resistances.
I like the idea of having +con, to be able to carry more, but ugg, I dont very much damage at it is (got about 430 p.attack or something) and doing -4str would not help, not at all. atm I have a aoba/health, so I already have a load of HP. I did rather go +str or dex.
anyone got some more feedback on this?
*+4str/-4con (or+4dex for landing rate)
*+4wit/-4int (or +5wit/-5int ??)
*+4men/-4int (not realy needed?)
Setting up your summoner is something that is very debatable. Like other classes, your tats will vary depending on your hunting style, equipment, and whether you pvp alot, alittle, or not at all.
Personally, I wouldnt even bother with +men or -men. Men is very valuable, especially if you plan on using TP all the time. +Wit is good for any situation however, especially if you use a light armor geared more towards DD that gives no casting speed bonuses.
As far as Str and Con, if you dont plan on PvP'in or tanking often for your summon, go for the -con +str. But also make sure you have a good DD armor/weapon setup to compliment the +str. Skip the Aoba and go with a focus sword. If you wanna go "extreme", add on a -con +dex tat and stick with a focus dagger and have a buffer tag along all the time.
One thing you will notice however, is that as you go further up in levels, no matter how much you like DD'ing, your going to slowly become a buffer/healer. Sure you can still put in your hits here and there, but it really isnt going to be that great, when your hitting a mob for 30-40 dmg, while your summon is doing 10x or more dmg per hit.
Btw, my setup as a Warlock is -8str, +4dex +4 con, -4int, +4wit, as well as -2int, -1wit, +3men from BW Light set.
hmm.ok
im in BW light atm, planing on getting +6 set I think (If I dont use DC at 61).
+8 aoba, but ill lokk around for a OE kesh or if I can find a cheap OE dama.
yea well I do tank a lot for my summon atm. I always start take agro, its easier for me to get my hp back (pots, corpse drain) and I always have SE and PP with me, out of party, so that wont be a problem. I can se -8str, +4dex +4 con would be great setup for high lvl, when my damage is nothing compared to my summoner, but atm, or well, when I still had my sls+10 focus, I did about 50% of damage. now im sure my summon does a lot more and Ill lose agro faster, but I still tank a bit i guess...I realy havent soloed anything with my new Bgrade equipment so im not sure yet.
but ok, I can do +wit and -int for sure. ill se what to do about con, str and dex..im not sure at all about those :(
