So I just decided to come back to L2... have a level 20 character that was meaning to level up. The problem is that now most of the player base has moved on, and no one sells good D armor anymore. At least it seems like no one does.
Am I screwed? Any ideas? Is it time to level a dorf?
it might seem wierd, but all clans, even high lvl clans will take a lvl 10+ into their acadamy (part of their clan). When you get your 2nd class transfer done, it gives that clan reputation points which can be used for various things that they can buy.
So ya, shouting lfc will probably land you in a clan pretty fast.
Here (http://www.lineage2.com/Knowledge/clans.html) you can scroll down a bit and see more information on clan Academies. basically if you level your character from 1-40 (or anywhere inbetween as long as you make it to 40 and do classchanges) the clan who's academy you joined will recieve points, thus newbies and lowbies have become precious resources to the high-end players, meaning almost any clan will love to have you.
there is a quest once you join an academy to get a complete set of armor with very nice bonuses on it, its also a LOT less expensive than any other D grade suit of equal quality. as previously mentioned, you can only complete this quest while in an academy with a sponsor assigned to you.

Right, and a lot hunt for new people as well. At 40 when you get your class change quest done, you get auto booted out of the clan and free to join another (if you want) right away.

or the same! our clan offen takes academy graduates right back into the main clan section, its hard not to get attatched sometimes :p
Dude... on Franz... I had made 2 million adena in the first week... without getting any drops. If you know how to play right... aquiring gears isn't as bad as you think ( until B grade... where inflation screws everything up ).
Should you need cheap D gear... just go into an academy and have someone sponsor you for the armour quest. It's a nice cheap D set for a few hundred k cheaper than shop prices.
