Tallum Sets

So, what's the deal with the Tallum sets? They seem like they are underrated.
Tallum Heavy - People think that Majestic is better than Tallum because Maj has more P. Def. and P. Atk.
Tallum light - This set seems like a good set for crafting, +2MEN, +222MP and +8%MP regen. Has any WS tried this?
Tallum robes - gives the same amount to Cast Spd. as DC, but doesn't -MEN, gives a bonus to M. Def.

So, why is Tallum always overlooked? Anyone care to explain?
Actually tallum heavy is used alot by gladi's, at least on hinde it is. they double it w/ kesh*kesh and then (tested it myself) ur atk.spd. is within 30 points of a tyrants when he's not using FF
I like my tallum. Got both robe and heavy. In process of making heavy+6 set. Will keep it for when I sub as well.
It's just many suports go for extra mp and regen of maj robes or jsut stay in BW. For meles the stun resist of maj also seems realy helpfull with all those -con tatoos out there..

i don't know but thats the set I'm going to use in my Phantom summoner i don't know why is not use either. most prefer a DC robe over that light set. i know that it looks nice in male dwarfs too. :o
my EE uses tallum robes and they work great :p besides, DC gives her granny panties :(
I picked up a set of Tallum robes for my SE.

Not for cast speed, not for bonuses.

No, I'm a fashion [censored]. Tallum thong ftw.
My WS uses Maj Heavy for fighting, and Maj Robe for crafting. Can't beat the regen + robe mp + robe bonus mp, and I look like a little storm trooper in heavy!
Tallum Heavy is the highest DPS armor in game, beat the crap out of Majestic :) those who don't realize that is there own loss.
Tallum Light is not used much because the -WIT really, really sting.

I see a lot of both robes and heavy, although I'll be wearing neither because they'd be so ugly on the toons that might. ><

You're obviously not a greedy dwarf at heart. What are you, some kind of light elf substitute?

Slightly higher DPS, at the cost of more shots. Attack speed always means more shots expended. I'll take the extra patk, keep my shots, and do my gimpy damage with my +1MS/focus in majestic (while outdamaging another dwarf 4 levels higher than me with +9 tsu*sls & tallum heavy.)

Who ever said you need to use shots? No offrence.
Tallum sets are awesome, especially the heavy version. Since when did anyone care about SS consumption anywyas, that's a thing of the past from C1..
Personally, I'm a little torn between Tallum Heavy or Nightmare for my Destroyer. I hate that you must either sacrifice STR or CON when you pick a set of heavy armor. Does anybody know if the boost in attack speed from Tallum stacks with a Haste/Chant of Fury buff?
All armour set boosts stack with everything else.

Cause people go with the flow and almost never look into the sets as well.

Imo Tallum > Majestic for any buffing/healing class...hell even for nukers. If you are all so bothered about casting speed, Tallum casts as fast as DC.

The M Def bonus is noticeable, and frankly besides Nightmare Robe its the only set that looks good on a female SE, Majestic just blows.
I think tallum robe looks terrible on dark elves ;_; But it's my favourite robe set by far because of the bonuses. It pains me that I had to switch to majestic (which looks awesome btw :p).

In the beginning most healer types would go for majestic, but actually now, most I see are in tallum.
I use Tallum Heavy on my Paladin to solo. With Angelic Icon, Prophecy of Wind, Zerk, and Haste, I have 931 attack speed (With my +6 DLE HP) :O

Tallum Light is not used much because the -WIT really, really sting.

What do WS need Wit for anymore? Wit used to useful for WS for debuff resists, but now it's MEN. And I'm not saying that you should go fight in Tallum Light, I'm just saying that it looks like a good set to craft in.
Tallum Light is dirt cheap as well.
Buying an A Grade helmet and/or a pair of boots just for crafting MP seems bit wasteful.

A lot of Warsmiths and Bounty Hunters xp in Tallum Heavy, so they already have the helmet.
I use Tallum heavy on my BD and the robe on my PP sub.
By the way, is there a quest that gives Tallum Heavy as a reward? The quest in Cave of Giants does not seem to inlude this as a reward, at least not as described in Stratics.
It does gives tallum PA recipe. You need to have the set of giant's golem for a chance to get it.

thx to the way mp regens works its not even worth bothering getting +men or +mp regen %
you'd be better off just getting recharged by a lvl 20 se with -10 wit

and tallum heavy is easily the best DD armor on the market depending on play style
i like to think of it as the skill spammers weapon of choice
