well at least it's very unfair to the other players. we all know that L2 grinding zone is very, very imbalanced so there are only a few "good" grinding site and if you want fast leveling you have to be there.
say if your clan is on war with "alliance #1" and they put a spy at the port site and send over a high lvl ganker whenever they see you port in..or even just have a couple of high lvl camp the port site and kill you before your screen is still loading. so you just cant play on that map no more...
it's illegle in WoW as " some sort of misbehavior against the other players"...is it " perfectly legal " in L2 ?
its perfectly legal, unless the spy is being botted or the high level is using 3rd party software to "spy" on you... i would suggest gathering a few clanmates (or tipping off an enemy clan of the camper) and walking around to the port spot, no loading screen this way and you may catch him off guard :p or just go somewhere else for an hour or two until he's bored
i would not continue porting in and dying repeatedly, as one silly elf i know does >.>
theres actually been instances (before pkers were changed) of high levels camping town gates of low level towns, PKing anyone going in or out :p being the newbie i was back then i petitioned it and recieved an answer like 'GMs may not interfere in any player conflicts, thanks for petitioning and enjoy L2!' lol
You just have to play it smart. If you port into FG and get killed 3 out of 4 times then you know there is a spy there. So catch them off guard.. run from aden through the cem and get them. If you are in an open war then its not ganking its pvp. If you are randomly getting killed and are neutral then one of your clannies ****** the wrong person off. I don't know many High lvls that just randomly get pked its mainly the Lower lvls still in Dion area. ( I could be wrong just how i see it on my server.)
Your best bet is to follow the advice shown here. Or, if you can't go anywhere, might want to think about dropping tags for a while. That seems to be a common solution on Lionna.
It's a matter of how much your willing to trade XP for pride.

Some problems really have the most obvious solutions.
Yeah seriously, and in fact it was you Akjosch with your post about able to be run around the complete map without pulling aggro that made me rethink about the GK system.
Same thing happens on Kain.I just bring my low lvl toon to any town and ask for help. There always are high level people around who love to head hunt and I usualy get back a response that the pker's are gone and we can go back to questing. High level Head Hunters are my favorite people so if you see a red don't naturaly asume they are Pker's and the same for a lone Dwarf hunting...ask first, cuz they may not be bots!
Yeah it's legal. It also pretty gimp IMO. It's a cheap way to get a kill when your opponent can't fight back. I remember when we were at war with Dawn. We set up a trap at the Wall of Argos port point, but we didn't hit them at the port point. We waited for them to port in and when they started to move into Argos we came around the corner at them. Was a good fight too, we took out most of them and they got a couple of us. Nothing cheap in this battle. I like it that way, even when I lose. In fact, I got killed during that fight, but not before I took out 3 of them. This was back when I was on my SpS.
