Warcryer + ??? Duo please help

Hey, my girlfriend made a WC and she loves it, and I am wanting to make a character to duo with her.

Im guessing a fighter class of some sort, Clannies say HE. Also I want to be able to help out the clan with a class we need more of, archers being one of them, but I guess daggers as well. I also want to be able to go into a necro and duo as well as possible. I currently have a Gladiator, and well, I really dont care for it at all so I kind of want to rule that out (maybe not?).

Could a TH duo a necro with a WC
Light armor + Chant of Evasion = FTW?

I am not thinking that a HE would be good at all with a WC in a necro... I really want to play a Ranger though..

Also the Clan doesnt need any more summoners...I thought that would be a good Duo, but I will only use it if I can get no other good options..

Please help me out, im open to any suggestions. I have researched about every class out there, I just cant make up my mind.

Peace and much thanks
any DD will do.

in order of best duos

1-44
destro
gladi
dagger
BD
sws

44-58
dagger
destro
BD
gladi
sws

58+
BD
destro
gladi
dagger

1-44 tho she will be the one tanking
We started a WC a while back and she was fine with any melee type character cause of the WC buffs. Haste and Vamp were a big plus for us melee clans. You can even go ranger with the WC buffs. my friend went TH and I went HE...we still wanted to duo in cats and I snagged a dagger and went at it fine.
So will the WC evasion buff help the dagger well enough to put him in a place where he can take a mob in a necro/cata?

BD escaped my mind when I first posted, I looked at some of the dances and stuff and since she may be using duals, at least if I take anything but a ranger, the dances would help.

Why does a dagger fall so far 58+?

I am thinking that the Dagger or a BD is the way to go? My friend said that one of our BladeDancers can solo Necro well, granted hes like 64 in Tallum though x.x

Please a little bit more explinations on the classes on why the would make a better duoist with a WC?

Much Appreciated :D

Its mostly damage buffs+vr, and only then evasion.
Peronaly I dont like duos with archers, there Im just a tagalong and cant use my char to it's fullest.
Thats kind of how I looked at a ranger with a WC, is that the WC would have to either A) Stand around and look stupid or B) Invest SP and Mana into his or her Damage over Time spells. Either doesnt look to interesting...

My clan leader says that Daggers are "usefull" to the clan. How exactly would the be refered to as usefull? I am guessing he was refering to Sieges?

Again, thank you :D

Edit :: Ledaa - What class do you most like to be in a Duo with? as far as productivity, not having to rest, quickly killing.

Also wouldnt a dagger be a poor candidate in a Necro/Cata because of the Dagger resist monsters? - and the bow resist monsters, another reason to not go Archer..
With the new skills that Daggers got in C5 they really are useful. We had a clan of 5 daggers pvping in cats and necros and it was killer. With the ability to bypass CP and go to HP directly, a party of them in close quarters are very effective. And they get stun shot also...to a certain degree :P

Daggers are good for cats/necros cause of the high atk speed and crits. A few crits from a dagger + chant of vampire will bring its health back nicely.
Don't overlook the Destroyer.
Spear users just LOVE WC bufs. At least my warlord loves them.
Every buf except acumen (chant of flame) is useful for a pole user.
Fury and guidance (chant of eagle?) are just lovely. Even evasion helps in AOE.
For a duo, I think BD or SwS are pretty sweet - SwS if you will be using daggers while doing damage, BD if you will be using a 'big' weapon.
the evasion will help in the lower lvls slighly, as u progrogess it becomes pretty minimal.

Pre-44 the WC doesn't have VR so a class that can take a bit of dmg such as the gladi and destro are preferable

44-58

the WC now has vr and the Mobs are fairly easy the more dmg the better, so daggers become the best

58+
the BD attains dance and fury and both wc and bd can deal alot of dmg. Mobs start to deal alot more dmg and light armor classes can't take the dmg, w/ a bd they can vr tank but w/o they are very squishy
I didnt overlook the destroyer, I actually let a Destroyer beat the hell out of my Gladi..my keys were messing up, though either way he would have won lol. He even said that in a Duo that a BD probley still would be best, he was 61.

I have never been much of a spear lover, mainly because well, facing 12 monsters 4x scares the piss out of me, and every time I have tried anything remotly to poling, well, I always die. And Poles are expensive as all hell. X.X

The dagger resists and the fact that Evasion < PDef, stray me away from Daggers of any race.

Maybe someone could provide a little info on how I could set up my Gladi, Hes 55, but im broke as hell, I leeched all my funds from a friends acount to buy a +0 BW Heavy Armor Set, and I have a set of borrowed +4 Sls*Sls. Maybe some advice on dyes? Some other way or technique that I could utilize the Duo better? I just seem to be crap in damage unless I am using skills, which I can not do much of, and I really can not sacrafice any more CON. >.<

Much Thanks - Rish

Actualy, the FF spel isnt bad. At lower levels I used it ALOT. Also nice for pvp, with current changes to drains you may not have mp to drain enemy to death, but ff+kite, if opponent is slow, or just put a ff or two between drains actualy helps.

Choise number one will probably be a BD, then meleing classes from high damage to low. Once duoed with a warloc was also nice. Cat tanks, it's owner heals and puts para on mobs, I buff and do damage.

My clan leader was talking about Warlocks having party buffs? I seen nothing along that line at all, I really wanted to make a summoner because they are supose to be excellent at solo, I frown at the costs to play them and that I will level slower than my girlfriend even if we party because of the summon...

Either way, could someone clear up this "Party Buff" the warlocks get please?
Warloc's forth summon (queen the cat) has a 2 minute long buff which gives critical chance+power and another one which gives accuracy+something else. You can only use 1 buff at a time.

Thank you for clearing that up :D
Accuracy+PAtk.

The fourth servitor comes at 56 - unfortunately, these servitors do pitiful damage. :/
Daggers tank very well with WC buffs. (evasion+high dmg+vr does the trick)

and yea, warlocks are awesome I must say. I recently created one, and they are very fun to play, and very very strong in PvE
In a "duo" the Warlock's buffs are not really useful.
Better to take Kai (their melee damage pet) and let his massive Patk + the WC buffs just plain rock anything.

The warlock Queen Cat buffs are best in larger parties where someone else is doing the damage.

WC+Warlock (or BD) is the core of a VERY powerful insta-kill archer party that makes absolutely broken amounts of XP if set up right.
I use the following party myself: Warcryer, Phantom Summoner, and Warlock. I love my Phantom summoner because of shadow pet, but if I had to choose between my warlock and ps, then I'd still take my warlock. Mainly because in the instances I have pvp'd you get archers and nukers that will want to kite you or your pet. Warlocks get Pet Windwalk lv2 and there's no running away from it and living.

Personally though I think a summoner is your best bet if your having problems with restitances on mobs. It can get annoying not gaining exp as fast, but then again when you can kill yellow and light red mobs without rest, it tends to make up for it. Good luck =_).
As for as Warlords go, How does that work? Ive seen people by themselves in Necros, Ive tried poleing post 40 and...died..a lot.. Would a WC's Buffs and Heal be enough, or even enough with a potion or 2? Or would I need a Healer? I am completly in experianced as far as Spears go. Any advice on them would be greatly appreciated, also how the WC * Warlord Duo would work. Thanks :D
WC+warlock would be a nice duo yes.
I dont thing a WC+poler would work. you need heals.. MAYBE if you spam healing potions...but I cant say for sure. wont be cheap at least
As I told you in Giran this morning, with VR you can probably do groups of 4-5 green mobs and survive with a WC.
And a destroyer is probably a good bet to duo a WC, as you can either go pole or sword/blunt.
In the end, a good clan to party with is always the best thing:) either a poler or a WC will be better in large party.
