Me and a friend have decided to start with Lineage 2 again. We use to play L2 up till C2 came out.
We want a very active server.. in the regard that we'd like a lot of pvp and pve action to be had. We want a well progressed server with people on at all times - i.e a non ghost town server. A server with strong clans and alliances.
We're considering to play on either Bartz or Teon. Right now we've reached above 20 on Teon and we started a day ago. However, I'm having second thoughts and would like to play on Bartz instead.
Any suggestions at all? Insight? Comments?
Also, is there any clans on Bartz and/or Teon that would like to pick up a Bishop and a Bladedancer when we reach higher levels? We're aiming to reach 78 asap.

The newest server is Franz and the siege and manor times are set for Euro players.
All servers will have light new player areas (except maybe franz) for a variety of reasons.
Bartz is the most populated NA Server.
78 as quickly as possible huh? :)
Well, you will find leveling at lower levels faster than C2 but the higher levels are still a bit of a grind. So don't forget to bathe and eat. ;)
We want a strong/active community and playerbase at higher levels. And from what I can tell, Bartz have the most high level players, heroes, noblesses, and raid achievements to date.
Since I never played in C2 to C5, everything that was added there is news to me and my friend.
For instance, what times do the top clans/alliances raid on Bartz? I'm aware of the siege times, but the other things? What's the normal prime times when things happen?
Bartz is the highest NA population server. If you check the server load you will be able to see that. They have also been around the longest so I imagine that they will have many high lvl players.

Thanks Sovrath. I've already compared and read a lot of random threads and gathered as much information as possible on the server forums on L2blah. I'm still a bit unsure of what server to pick.
make it simple ; if you live in Europe go to teon... if you are closer to USA go to Bartz..
There both very big serverz and has alot PvP etc etc.
So i would make the pick on what timezone i lived in.
From what I can gather, there's several clans on both Teon and Bartz that play american times. And there's those that play european times on both as well.
Overall I want a server that is here to stay with a vivid community and a good/active community. I don't want to level to 70+ and then realise the server is 'dead' and/or there's not a lot to do because there's no capable alliances/clans to do most (everything) in the game.
Suggestions are very welcome :) please base it on your own experience as well.
Well i am not sure how long you will take to lvl 78. but now there is allways Castle Siege and out door PvP on Teon.
I can even say we have a very nice and sound community going to even make things even better ;)
But i like Teon and if you are looking for PvP teon is the place to go.
I cant help you with Bartz only thing i know about that is that the server is on heavy when i logg in to Teon.
And the timezone is more then just players being logged in, its about manor resets, castle sieges, event times etc etc
You shouldent be half asleep when the siege golem is smashing down the castle doors. ;)
Sieghardt is prety populated, very active pvp server, many high powered clans warring wih each other for pvp fun, or for personal reasons, if you like chaos and mayhem, Sieghardt is the place to be, plus our market isnt ridiculous. :D
Playing on bartz, and I like it. high pop and lots of high-lvl. BUT, like someone already said, maonor reset time and event peak-times and such things are a pain. always in the middle of the night :(
One slight correction to PatTheBaker - the market on Seighardt or any other L2 server is ridiclous, it's just just less ridiculous on Seighardt than on other servers.

Seems like Bartz have alot higher price then Teon...
So to sum it all up; go to Teon...
