wow. mixed emotions here. i didnt like him at all but isn't hanging a little out of the times?

It may seem so for us, but hanging is a fairly common form of execution for common criminals in the Middle East, or so I have read. May Allah have mercy on his soul, because Saddam sure didn't have much mercy for others. :)

hanging is also a valid means of execution in new hampshire and washington; firing squad is still an option in three other states.
as to saddam, i say good riddance to bad rubbish. if it was up to me i'd have found a far more heinous way of dispensing justice.
