Making $ With Dwarfs: BH or WS?

Player Questions Started Last reply 16 posts
I quit playing after C1 came about and I just recently came back. I have noticed that if you want to make decent money in this game you have to have a dwarf. The main question is: If you intend on playing the dwarf long term (and not deleveling it to farm certain materials) then which is the most fun and most profitable, Bounty Hunter or Warsmith?

If I choose Warsmith, how hard will it be for me to get materials to make things? Will I need BOTH?

Thanks for any feeback in advance. :D
i'm interested in this question as well. I have a lvl 8 dwarf and climbing, he's my 2ndary obviously. I like to craft, so i think warsmith is right for me. But I understand the need for the materials.
Bh makes money with spoils, and he does very good money if ya know where to go (split in a full party and make +2m/day anyways while lving? :o)

WS makes money with craftshopsin town. Like Maj Circlet recipe for ex. is like 40m worth, and normal craftshops want 1m for a craft, you make money from the 41th craft on.

I highly recomment BH, normaly every high Alliance got at last 1 Maestro. And good allys feed their dorfs with recipes. Crafting from an allymate means crafting for free, this way more and more ppl ignore the craftshops (besides crafting mats/ss, but a lot of ppl got their own WS for that anyways.

WS makes money without work, and earns more money in the beginning. BH needs to work for it, but gets better paid off later (and also more usefull later).
The BH will makes much more adena in the long run.

As Realdiem mentioned, you can make lots of money if you know where to hunt.

Example:
Our clan WS probably made <50 mil in last year. Im sure higher lvl WS can make more with good receipes.... but if you dont get them from clannies you have to pay for em.

Our clan BH Id say made a bit more than 1 billion adena in the past 6 months...... puts everything in perspective doesnt it?
(note -> high level and right place right time, probably coudlnt pull that off again :( )

split in a full party and make +2m/day anyways while lving?

how much is "a day" ? 8 hours or playing ? 6 ? 14 ?

24! ;D
I would say if you are a low level dorf now then prolly go BH. I say this because the only ones making real money now are the high level dorfs with top S recipies. It is gonna take you a long time to make it to that level and by then the prices per click will be in the toilet like the A and B stuff.

I would like to remind you that WS do get very fun summons. The golem is costly to use but can make or break you if you wanted to lvl solo in some places. The siege summons are fun and will be a blast in C6 with the new rocket shootin summon.

hold on...let me get a hold of my friends in China..
I agree with the whole leveling a BH at this point. I personally make quite a bit more than 2mil a day, and I spend at least 12 hours sitting in town. Gives me time to have a social life tho, so it ain't all bad. But I am a fairly high level WS with lots of good recipes.

Your best bet to make money, however, is still to play the market like most other players. You will make far more money playing the market than you will by crafting or spoiling.
Hm, well thanks for the feedback. So basically the best way to make money overall is go BH, and just research where the good sweeps are and just stockpile and sell sweeps? I guess that makes more sense. I could always just take the materials I get and find a craft shop to make what I want.

Thanks for the feedback and keep it coming!

I think I'm going to go BH for now, if anyone has any quick alternate advice, don't hesitate to send it.

Thanks.
i know this can be done by all the classes. But as soon as i hit lvl 27 with my crafter I got a Room in a catacomb killing monsters with the golem summoned. + buffs from Demonology.
and seeding Enria at the same time.
make 1.500.000 - 2.000.000 adena a night not bad when i am lvl 30.

meaning the golem can make you hunt harder monsters (*4 HP monsters ) then you would if you are a BH. Great for seeding.
But then again a BH makes more adena in the long run; as i only use this post to share my happy times that i finally figured out when to press then button when seeding. :D

So my suggestion do what i do have both a spoiler and a artisan
Happy new year everyone =)

As a lil hint, try spoiling inside Commander and Hero rift :D

all classes can make money usefulness of a Warsmith is base on how many raw mats and key parts you have at your disposal as well the recipe repertoire you have on your craft book. Bounty Hunter is Good to farm either recipe's, key parts and the occasional enchant scrolls if your ether lucky or you want to farm them as well the most important thing the A grade helmet recipes.
be ready since that place will be heavily occupied by other clans and as well farmers and griefers.

deleveling it to farm certain materials.

you don't need to since the manor can out surpass a Bounty hunter at any level.

Bounty Hunter ~ fake death. training mobs to certain player.
Warsmith ~ Mechanic Golem. apply the same rule as above.

Real hard your almost fighting with a hole server since most have an alt crafters or are in plans of making one.

as well to the high level Warsmith's the ones that exist before you. is not an easy task it comes to the clan you select if they are in need of a Ws. or if your planing to make one.
The very short answer:
- BH if you are active with him
- WS if it's an alt who will spend a lot of time afk in shop
WSs also need a massive pre-investment for the good recipe book to start making decent money. I honestly think that WSs are good for making money with, as long as you're not the WS.

In the end, a dwarf won't make more money than another character unless you know what you're doing. If you have to ask, start with traditional money making methods (manor, fishing, market, gambling) and explore the potentials of WS and BH (reading spoil tables, grouping BH, crafting stuff through craft shop etc.) while you do this.

Then make your own informed decision.

For me, it's the BH - I love having basically all the capabilities of a WS for a small fee but spoiling things. :p Craft shops gimped the WS, spoil share need only gimp you if you don't have a close buffer friend who'll duo you or a two-box.
Well I'm a BH. I love it. Now that i'm in the higher lvls the spoils are much better making it alot easier to make money. I have a WS also but find it easier to make money with my BH. I can spend around 4hrs in one area and make 40mil+ easy. I recommend BH. Plus Fake Death is very fun ;)
