What tats would you recommend for a SR, both PVP and PVE?
I've been researching this and still can't come to any conclusions myself...so I ask for your help. I know what they each do as far as +4, etc... but since I'm new to L2 I don't have real in game experience with them and how they would affect my SR.
In addition...what armor would be best? I have Drake set at the moment but am considering the plated leather for it's strength bonus. Any thoughts on how the addition of +Dex tats would influence my armor decision?
Basicly 90% of SRs go +5 dex, with a combination or just all out -str or -con, its up to you there. I prefer +5 dex -5 con but have seen many people use +5 dex -2 str -3 con or similar.
noobish question... i was looking for +5 dex -5 con tats in town and the highest ones i found were +4. Also mammon only sells them up to +4 if i'm not mistaken.

You can't get +5's, when people say +5 they talk about combining 2 set of tatoos, +3 and +2 or +4 and +1.
For XP, it's alot better to get +5 STR -CON than just +DEX. Can do both, but that is dangeour in pvp. Then again you won't make much of a difference in PVP until you're mid 60s on robes and 70+ against others, especially light armor classes. Can't kill that which you can't hit!

so you'd suggest if i'd go for +5 dex/-5 con & + 4 str/-4 con on my SR. For lvling its awesome for sure but will i still be able to carry some stuff without getting overweight? Also... how much of my cp will i lose when i go for -9 con? ><

gotta say that -9 con on an SR is a really bad idea, if you're going to get in any pvp at all...you 2 shotted easily..i went
+2 str, +3 dex -5 con, and i get killed easily, try out a few, but don't go -9con, only HEs can do that
@SsxSin what would you suggest for me then? ^^ Maybe +2 str, +3 dex -5 con, too? Or prolly dex only? I mainly want the build for pve at the moment since i'm only lvl 43 atm.
I'd love the dex cause it would be awesome to see her shooting a bit faster, or do you think i had more profits from str in pve?
I say this sooo many times.. ++++++++STR ---------CON for PvE, you can even keep that for PVP! You can add +DEX -CON too if you really feel like it, but it won't increase your damage by as much as STR does, and bad for PVP IF you get hit. Of course you would want Plated Leather for a total of 45 STR, that is ALOT on a light elf, you'll be hitting like a real DD also, and you avoid being called a [censored] by "real" archers :P
I did the -11 CON setup on my Sagi, used it both for PVP and PVE, with pot spamming like it is now, it's not that bad, only stun starts to land ALOT with this setup. Now I just have +5 STR, which is playing to my strenght. Dex doesn't do much for me, I can't outrun or catch anything anyways, so I hope stuff get into my range or my hamstring shot lands.
for SRs it's all about the dex, so go +5dex-5con, and get the plated leater set, that's +3 str and -1 con i think, you can keep that set up till high a grade if you want. if you have a buffer/healer at all times, go +4 str-4 con also, you'll 2 shot pretty much all green mobs, which is what you want to be hunting.
but remember, you tats get errased when you hit 52, so don't blow a ton of cash on them. I didn't get any tats till 55 or so, and changed them to what i have now when i hit 74
i thought you got different tats at 52, or can use different tats, the great ones...anyway... dex is for SRs, we run faster, evade more(not that it matters that much at end game cause we get 2-3 shotted) we shoot faster, better accuracy...that's why dex is better for an sr.
and get the +5dex-5con, and plated leather set, that's +4str-1con, so you're only down 6con, which isn't that bad
How did you make it to 75 and subclass without knowing how tats work? I am so often amazed by people. No, the tats you can get at 40 are the ones you keep until you stop playing lineage 2. Unless you take them off. I'm of the thought that you use PvE tats from 40 through the 60s, since you'll be fairly lousy in PvP anyway. But that's just me.
like i said, i didn't use tats till i was 52, and that was so long ago...and i didn't have the pve set up for a while, which was +5dex+4str, but i had to change it because it was way to costly to keep chaning out my tats for pvp and pve so i came to a compromise.
and we arn't that bad in pvp, we crit alot. we may not crit really hard, but we crit alot
Well, if you're gonna use Plated Leather, you ain't gonna PVP anyways (you're 0.5 shot!), so do + STR for more PvE damage. Edit: You also get a bonus to patk for having over 40 STR ;)
Also, you can buy +4 -5 tatoos in Giran, they're a decent replacement until you figure out your final tatoo setup once you want/able to PVP.
