Quick Mammon Question

If I were to exchange a non-top D grade weapon for a top C grade, would the new top C from Mammon retain it's OE's? I am aware that it wont keep it's SA and that I have to pay AA.

Ex.: D grade(+10) + 2.2AA = Top C(+10)....Is that correct?

Edit: Does this apply if going from any weapon with OE's to another weapon (+AA if necessary)?

No it won't of course keep it's OE'd status. Or else you would see a ton of more peoples abuse the system.

The only way to keep enchants is to do an even exchange.

PS - Actually, a weapon exchanged with mammon will "keep it's SA." If it has an SA on it, Mammon doesn't "see" it. You can't trade it, you have to take the SA off at the Black Market mammon guy.

Heh - he didn't used to. But the only weapons I've ever taken to him have been SA-less - A grade waiting for SA, or I knew I was exchanging it.

Keep in mind, you'll need to ask him to remove the SA. If you simply ask him to exchange, he doesn't see the item.

IS there any info on the Blacksmith of mammon on this site? or could someone give me info on where to find him? (sorry if this is a hijack!)

Blacksmith (the weapon trader/SA guy) can be found at catacombs and the trader at necropolises (they port around). Usually you can find out where they are by watching hero shout.

So...pardon my ignorance, but is there a trick to getting into the cats...lol?

You have to sign up for the competition, swim down the "pool" of a cata or necro, into the cave and run up the ramp until you come across a gatekeeper ziggurat. Click teleport.

**Edit - You have to sign up for the 7 signs competition before it ends and your side (dawn or dusk) has to win in order to gain access to mammon.

huh, didn't know u could do that...is it free?

its free untill you are lvl40 (or is it when you are done with 2nd class-change? not sure)
