Scout/Silver Ranger Questions (2 of them).

Hey Everyone, i just have 2 quick questions.

1. Will My characters mp recovery rate ever surpass the mp consumption rate of Vicious Stance? (crit dmg stance on elven scouts). I would like to hunt with this skill activated but the mp consumption is huge for a level 28 soloing...

2. Will Esprit (increased hp/mp recovery while running) eventually make my mp recovery rate fastest while running? even considering mp regen while sitting? Will Running around "kiting" mobs keep me going the longest (mp wise) as opposed to just standing up to the mob? (Assuming i dont need to rest for HP recovery or use MP for heals).

Anyways, thanks for the info that you could maybe provide me. Im level 28 using a Strengthened long bow and as is, that bow is fairly MP heavy for my characters level. OH 1 other quick question for a total of 3 questions! is the mp recovery rate equal to your level / 10 rounded to the lowest whole number? ie. 3mp at lvl 30-39, 2mp at 20-29, 4mp 40-49 etc etc. What are those rules again?

Thanks everyone!
vicious stance - use this only when using skill, like power shot, stun shot, and double shot, that's where you see a big difference in damage. it doesn't do that much extra when just shooting arrows.
esprit- it basically ends up being that you gain about 1-2mp less per tick if you were sitting. so say you get 10mp while sitting, you get about 7-9mp while running (there abouts anyway, maybe a little less)
and all bows will seem "MP heavy". you just get used to it, and when you get Cgrade you can put Cheap Shot on a bow as a special ability. get this for leveling, you'll be able to stay hunting ALOT longer if you're not hunting mobs that drop the herbs.

tip - try not to use your skills toooo much, use like stun shot only if you get 2-3 mobs argo. stun one and kill the others, using the skills with our bad mp regen is bad.

good luck as a future SR, welcome to the gimp archer club :)
VS increase archer skill damage? Since when?!
best advice.

Stop lvling up VS past lvl 36 skill set. it's a worthless waste of SP skills that doesn't help your dmg.

From lvl 40-52 use a dagger. this will save you alot of money and time (arrows, low SS carrying, port fees, CP pots, heal pots, atk speed pots). and your bow masteries don't start to shine, and rub away your dagger masteries till 52 any how.

SR has the atk speed, but not the P atk. so very slow bow would hurt them less then a HE with a very slow bow.

besides, you don't want to burn away all your mp from running VS and from fire rate. that will give you alot more down time then needed.
Slow and Very slow bows fire at the exact same arrows per minute. SR's and HE's fire at the same speed (with no tatoo changes because of Boost attack speed level 1 that human rogues get), except for when SR's use Rapid fire.
VS used with double shot, doubles the amount of damage it does...in pvp anyway
and slow and very slow, ar pretty much talking about how long it takes to use skills with that certain type of bow.
alot longer with very slow bow

o.O Screenshot?
i'm at work now, but will do it when i get home, in the coliseum, i was hitting for 850 roughly, against a prof with double shot, i turned on VS and bam...about 1600.
i'll have a screen shot in 2.5 hours

A crit? or regular hit?
That sounds like a critical skill attack, highly doubt VS would increase NORMAL skill damage..

skill crit

...and I was overjoyed when I crit for 1400...lol.

I have a long way to go......

you have no idea of the requirements for a dorf to hit that hard

while im on the subject any dorf out there beaten that?
'quietly': What's a dorf?
ok, it seems i was mistaken, VS + Double Shot does not produce 2times the damage.
double shot was 990ish and with VS on it was around 1100
and when i crit it was 1800.
and i seemed to crit about 25% of my double shots. So i think i was just lucky before when i was hitting double shot with VS on and hitting for 1800 every shot.
sorry for the misinformation
i think skill crit rate is linked to your normal crit rate
i seem to crit my skills 10% of the time

dorf=dwarf
Thanks for the replies everyone! I quickly learned the importance of fighting mobs that drop potions, even if they arent the best xp per mob - those potions/herbs keep me going until i run out of resources.

Thanks again for the info! Im looking forward to doing some more character observation and learning this weekend.
