Prophet is a very good buffer, and owns in the olympiad, downside is that it can be boring to play, but thats only when you decide to play it that way.
Bishop is a great healer, always has been, but now with more SE nerf they will shine brighter.

thats why i'm try a trio box on the PTS.
BD >WC > Bishop.
That way I don't need to worry about having a SE to do all the healing, and VR comes from WC, HW from bish, zerk from bish. and all the heals I could ever want that will stack with each other. also Bonus from WC they get evation and nether PP or SE has that.
Prophet is indeed fun if the group is so small that you can stay on your feet and help with damage and crowd control.
It is, however, I will admit, also quite fun to simply sit on your [censored] in a group and get exp while everyone works and you're doing homework. :p
Prophets rock pretty good and can solo if they wanted on greens. At 56 I can probably do 5~6 people with Divine and CSw/ManaUp. About the only usefull buffs you don't get are VR and Empower.
I box a PP to assist my TH, but I also solo with her sometimes. I like a PP because it's the only buffer class that can wear heavy armor. But the heals are the weakest of the buffers.
Right now mine is in B-grade and usually is outfitted with BW light and dual SLS's. I've also heard of some PP's that solo with a bow.
Prophet:
-You can choose to buff large groups and sit on your behind for 20 minutes and do something else (homewor/tv, whatever) although Ive never like prophets who do that, but thats my opinion.
-You can buff smaller groups, put on heavy armor anf get focus duals and join in the fun! With right tatoos/armor they can do decent damage for a mystic class.
-Prophets can solo, easier at higher levels though.
Bishops:
Not only for AOE/pole parties.
My favorite groups for playing my bishop are groups with a WC. As someone mentioned before, sometimes an extra heal is required time to time. Bishops are more and more in demand for high level group hunting areas, because SE heals just dont cut it anymore. Bishops have to be 100% concentrated on the game in most cases. Although you do get groups where the Bishop just ends up leaching xp and you dont have to do much.
Prophets
PRO
-you can choose different playstyles
-easy to find groups at ANY level
-You can drift off time to time and no one will notice
-not completly dependant on groups to level
CON
-expensive for gear if you want to do a battle prophet time to time (need robes and heavy set, mana oriented weapon and a very good focus weapon for damage)
-If you want to join in for damage, you have to cary around SS too.
-You cant buff a full group in heavy
-Even with robes, if you buff a full group, you have to sit most of the time to regen your mana for the next buff round
Bishop:
PRO
-Cost barely nothing to equip.
-You dont have to have top gear for each grade to do your job
-If you know how to play your class, barely have to use spirit shots/spirit ore. Watch the adena flow in!
-At HIGHER levels, people will want you, alot.
CON
-You have to pay attention to the game if you want to be a good bishop
-You cant just go afk in the middle of a battle.
-Leveling from 40 to Id say mid 50s is a pain in the ***, since no one wants a bishop since SE heals are still good enough.
-Heavily dependant on groups to level.
